Has anyone read or heard of this book? It looks interesting, just wondering your thoughts:)

Not read the book but I know there's a site on the www that mentions at least some of the stuff.

Staking can work. That much I know. I can't vouch for anything else there, I've not browsed, it didn't attract me that much.

I read thru some of the website and I kind of agree with Staking in principle. I actually think I had this kind of parenting in mind when I had my oldest. Saying that, I think we gotta do what we can, and tweak things so they suit us. Im not with my children at all times, ie we dont home school. But I have always made sure my kids are always involved. Ive never liked using tv to babysit. I slip up but have no trouble getting back on track. We still get the bickering and the tattling and the bad attitudes and all that. I think that if you read into a theory of any 'style' of parenting and if we then dont have the world's perfect children, we may feel disappointed, kids can be brats, they make mistakes and *I* think no parenting technique guarantees anything!
