Does anyone have advice? Blake absolutely will not eat, at any meal time, more than about 2 bites! This includes anything except the odd time noodles or weiners. How can I make food interesting for him and make sure he gets his nutrition? Anyone else have this problem? I don't let him eat in between meals except for, like 4 crackers & some milk in midafternoon. I don't let him eat junk like chips and candy very often. Help!!

I usually don't worry too much when Gracie does this because her eating comes in spurts. She may not eat much of anything for a few days and then one day she will eat/snack all day. I just try to keep "healthy" snacks around the house for her such as raisins (even yogurt-covered are good), pretzels, cereal bars, trail mix, dry cereal, peanuts, etc. When Gracie was going through a time when she would not eat much, I bought her some Zoo Pals plates at Wally World and she would at least try anything that I put on her special plates. :) You might try that. Right now our thing is that she won't eat her dinner unless mommy or daddy feeds it to her. I have no idea where that is coming from either! We don't even do that with her one0year old brother -- he eats his food off the table!

I just leave the food on the table and it's the next thing that he needs to eat... no snacking until he has eaten a fair amount of something good... where I live we don't really have the option of making food interesting or fun... it's just food... so if he wants to eat he needs to eat what we are eating. I try and make the kiddos some macaroni or something when my husband isn't at home because they usually like that. Anyway, that's my only advice, just leave it on the table.... my younger brother was a snacker, he would go back to the table for another mouthful all day... at least he ate!

Becca, that's exactly what he's started doing... begging me to feed him... and here I thought toddlers/preschoolers were so independant...
