I had a tiny bit of pre-period type spotting yesterday.. nothing since. Azalia is only 11 weeks old but af has arrived right around the 3 month mark with all my others so it wouldn't be odd for me to be starting my period already. I'm wondering if I o'd and got pregnant already and what I had yesterday was implantation bleeding or if there is another explanation?? Anybody have any ideas? I just thought it was weird to spot like that.. I mean if af is here she sure isn't making her appearance evident. No cramps, not really moody, I don't think (maybe I should ask dh about that, lol) and no more bleeding, so IDK! :???:

You can also spot off and on if 'small pockets' of blood get knocked loose after giving birth too...I spotted for 13 weeks after baby number 2.

Thanks Breezy. I wondered about that. I stopped bleeding/spotting all together at least 6 weeks ago but I guess it could still be isolated pp spotting. Hmm..

I have spotted like that PP too... weird, huh?

Totally weird! With the other 3, when I was done I was done, yk? To spot 6 weeks after nothing is just very odd to me! :???:

The older I get, the more children I have, the more things *change*, it's like my body has a harder time of having patterns. One of the joys of getting older, I guess? ;)

You can start spotting when your body is trying to return to fertility, but hasn't had the "oomph" to ovulate all the way.

If you want to know where your fertility is at, you could check mucus and temps. I caught the temp rise for my first PP ovulation, it was very cool!

I was hoping you'd reply Ruth! I think what you said is more probable. Thats probably exactly what the spotting was.

I have been noting my cm and I started to temp but didn't keep to it. Next time dh goes to Border's he's going to pick me up a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I'm going to record my temperature again.. I stopped because I had no idea what I was looking for so I thought it was kind of pointless. I guess I can look back at my chart once I do know what to look for though.

Cool! Make sure that you write everything down when you note it. For my first PP ovulation, I noticed a dramatic change in CM, it turned to eggwhite quality, and then a sharp and obvious thermal shift that was sustained. (If the temp doesn't stay up, it most likely isn't ovulation related)

11 days later, I got my first PPAF.

You may want to look into an NFP course with an instructor. They can help you with your charts and observations until it becomes second nature. They also have correspondence courses available.

Of course, if you're not trying to use NFP as birth control and only using it for TTC, it's not as necessary to take a course, but it is helpful!
