So number 1 son...the one with chronic hives..the one who just took his PSAT...the one who is stretching his wings...well now he wants to fly alone to Texas and visit his cousin. His cousin is a junior at Texas Tech. He is a good solid Christian young man! Has his head soundly on his shoulders. I trust him. AND I amazingly said, " Sounds like fun. You have worked hard. Call him." So he did and a few phone calls later and some finnigalin( is that a word) he got to use his uncle's frequent flyer miles and go to Texas for a long weekend coming up for 90 dollars! [clapping]

I have surprised myself! I am actually not fretful about this. [goodorbad] I think he will have a good time and get to hear some first hand experience about how tough college is and...well...once again another chance to let go and trust God with this life He has entrusted to my temporary care! [thumbsupgrin]

So...ladies...keep telling me he will be okay. He can find his connecting flights...and he will be returned to me safe and sound! LOL! [whateeeeeksign]

So I added an extra n and cut off the g on the end in typical Ohio( also known as ahia) fashion and put an i in the middle instead of an a

Not too bad. Finagling...but we didn't cheat or anything. I just meant a lot of work, phone calls back and forth etc...hmmm Thanks Amy. Now I know.

Wow, good for you! [thumbsup] That is so hard to do, especially with the first one. (Well, actually, now that I think about it, it's still hard to do with the others. But I keep working on it. :) ) He will have a great time and it's a good opportunity for him to fly a little (with parameters).

You are doing a great thing. This will be a very hard thing for you, but you are going to have a better relationship with your son. I will pray for you & the safety of your son.

I am very proud of you [claploud]

Thanks! I surprised even myself! And what is even more surprising is that I am STILL not fretting. Talk to me towards to the end of next week though and we shall see! :?

Believe me, I have done more than my share of fretting while trying to let my kids fly. In fact, I fretted this morning. You're an encouragement, Leslie!
