As 20 yr wife to my hb, mom to 18 yr old da, 15 and 13 yr old sons and new almost homeschooling mom (using k12 Virtual Academy) for my 13 yr old, I find myself seeking the companionship of other christian moms more than ever. We moved to this state several years ago and I didn't work for the first time since I was in jr high. I feel more isolated than ever experienced before. This area is definitely a growing experience for my entire family. Making one income suffice where two incomes went before is a challenge also. I think of this as my time of showing obedience to God by staying home and making my family my priority. Due to my absence in my kids' lives when I worked from dawn til after dusk 6 days/wk, this is a time of damage control with several of my kids. The youngest is coming along well most days, the middle child is truly my concern. Prayer is a welcome activity to offset the stress . I enjoy Bible study but miss the group experience. This looks like the perfect fit for my needs. Hopefully my experiences can help others as I learn also. Thanks for the welcome!

Hello and welcome! You will truely love it here.

I taught my sons for years in the k12 virtual charter school in PA, but now homeschool on my own.

Prayers for you and your family in this new journey.

Hi! I think you'll enjoy it here. I recently went through that feeling of isolation, and found C-moms to be a great source of encouragement.

I'll be homeschooling, too, in about 5 years. (The ticker below is for my first child.)

Hi and welcome.

I recently quit my job to stay home with the kids for the first time in me life, so I can relate to the complete lifestyle change that you are going through.

I'll pray for you and your family.

Thanks Emily, for the welcome and congratulations! We look back on the first years as some of our favorites...repeated in many ways as teens, lol.

Thanks for the warm welcome! A favorite uncle of mine has lived there for nearly 40 years. I loved the mountains near Alamagordo--Los Cruces. I'll never forget the HUGE rattlesnake on the road in front of his townhouse, nor the large holes in everyone's lawns from tarantulas (and his had the yard of the month from the local rotary club.) Made an impression I've never forgotten, being from the plains with few scary or poisonous creatures. I'm more used to tornadoes, floods, blinding blizzards, lol.

Thanks so much! I've enjoyed you all so much already, and learned alot in the short time since I've joined. Thanks for the christian companionship. Hope I can bless as much as I have already been blessed!
