After my experience with making my fitted diaper much too small after making my own pattern, DH has consented to allow me to buy a commercially made pattern.
Any good recommendations?

View Full Version : Pattern Recommendations for Fitted Cloth Diapers BlessedMommy 10-19-2006, 06:31 PM After my experience with making my fitted diaper much too small after making my own pattern, DH has consented to allow me to buy a commercially made pattern. Any good recommendations? ~Tara~ 10-20-2006, 09:41 AM I dunno I'd go for one of the 'big names' in WAHM made dipes. Like the HoneyBoy or something. I forget who else sells their pattern now. There's one other I'm thinking of, just..can't...quite...get it. Argh! If/when I remember, I'll post back LOL BlessedMommy 10-23-2006, 09:49 PM Thanks for the recommendation Tara! I checked out that pattern and it looks nice. The one thing that I noticed though is that it emphasized that it was an AIO pattern. Can you use an AIO pattern for fitted dipes or do you need a separate pattern? Because I already own a number of nice diaper covers I'm not really looking to make any AIO's. ~Tara~ 10-24-2006, 10:24 AM I'm sure the pattern..as in dimensions would be the same. You'd just omit the outer waterproof layer. BlessedMommy 10-24-2006, 11:04 AM Thank you, Tara! I think that I'll order that pattern today. Rach 10-26-2006, 08:55 AM you would use your cute print/batik/etc. for the outer layer. you can get some good hemp at celticcloths.com or something like that. that's who I use. Oh and I heard people that used it put in an additional absorbent layer. You might just make a few and see how they work for you before you go crazy making diapers. |
