Hannah has shown so many readiness signs over the last couple months that I decided to go ahead and switch her to underwear this week. (See post about my DH's unconventional potty training method, lol)

I wasn't going to push her too much if she wasn't ready, but on the other hand, she was giving me very obvious signs, like when we went out for a walk and she stopped and told me "Poopy." I stopped and pulled her diaper off and she squatted and peed on the dirt road. Also, she had gotten "Naked Training" down nearly perfect. I could slack off and do other things around the house and she would generally go and use the potty on her own while her bottom half was unclothed.

So Hannah's been wearing underwear for several days now. We took her on our date for our anniversary, and it was pretty insane, all the pulling over when she said, "Mommy, POOPY!" LOL. But we lived. I'm insanely tired, this has been intense, being on call all day long and watching her carefully--since we're doing what I call the "Fast, Risky Plan" AKA she's not wearing pull ups or training pants even when away from home, only underwear, regardless of whether at home or away from home. But it looks like it's paying off.

She's pretty good at askingto go potty when we're at home, but out and about, I had to remind her a lot. Tonight, we were at church and she ASKED me (or maybe rather informed me) and went to her potty (we were back in the mother's room) and pooped in it. Later, she didn't even say anything, she just walked over to her potty and started pulling at her clothes--so I helped her get her pants down and she peed in her potty.

Anyway, just wanted to share...... :D

That is wonderful, Ruth! It does seem like a lot of work but keep in mind what it will be like on the other side of all of this  I'm a ways off obviously but I dream of diaperless days! :)

I guess you will have the new babe in diapers but still, at least you won't have 2;)
