and gabe thinks I can't subtract 426 from 512!

the kid argued with me for five minutes over renaming the five or not. his argument was that since it was bigger, he didn't have to rename it. Then said it didn't matter that he had previously changed the 1 to a zero (to subtract six from two!)

Duh! Gabe!

Gosh, kids.

Just thought I'd share the laugh, and the new found knowledge that 3 1/2 years of being a math major apparently didn't teach me anything more than 2nd grade math (since he's doing 3rd grade, LOL)

Wow. I guess that sometimes kids think that we don't know what we're talking about. LOL.

hehe...that's funny. I know i'm probably going to have to deal with that with my dd because at 2 yrs old when he was learning his colors he was already telling me what something was and what i said wasn't right. lol

Missed this post, were you joking or are you a math major really? Because I may need to borrow your brain now and than.

My son does the same thing, finally I had to break it down with candy, here you take 5 pieces of candy, after he grabs the candy I said give me 8 pieces please. But sometimes if he doesn't get it, oy no getting through to a strong willed child!

No, I was serious. I really was. Math major, minor in business, and took some accounting classes, I wanted to get my CPA, but decided against it later.

Shoot at me whenever. If I can't help, I'm sure some of those old bookmarks from college are still in there somewhere, LOL
