didn't know where to put this, but I am curious how long it took you to get pg with baby #1

Two weeks is the answer! I had come off the pill...told me go ahead and try, didn't think I would get pregnant right away...two weeks later...hello!

I was off the pill two months and was pregnant. I didn't think it would be that quick.

We actually weren't trying and got pregnant 3 months after we got married! We always say it wasn't our plan but it was God's plan. :D [heartbeat]

dh and i were not trying with baby # 1 or baby # 2, lol. I always tell dh that God's plan for us must involve lots of beautiful babies if he keeps springing 'em on us! If only all surprises were as wonderful as children.

I think I misunderstood the question. For some reason I thought it was how long after we got married before we got pregnant. We were married almost a year when I got pregnant, but we were trying not to get pregnant, so I think I should have put opps. lol

I don't remember exactly but I know we miscarried 4mo after our wedding day and I was 5wks..I think we were only careful like a month before we started trying for #1

10 days, LOL! We got married and I was on CD 14. I ovulated around CD 23-24 and got a BFP on CD 35 (3 weeks after we were married)! 9 months later, our little cutie was born. :) What a gift from God!

We tried for a month without success and because of my fears of never being able to have children, I was sure that it was because I wasn't able to, but we kept on trying. The next month we got pregnant...and I found out three days before my birthday!

Since there was no "OTHER", I voted 3+ years.
DS did not result from a successfull pgcy for us...

He grew IN my heart...not Under it!

First pregnancy was a suprise ended in miscarriage for me, but did show me how much I did want a baby. It took me a few months to get pregnant with my oldest. And he was born on Christmas, the best Christmas present I ever got too!

Thank you for opening my eyes to my square thinking :D Amy or Rachel or one of you other gifted ladies can you add "Other" to my options if possible?

I voted 1-6 months, but it depends on how you look at it, I guess. It took me 4 yrs to convince DH to have kids! I always got pregnant quickly but had a couple of miscarriages and periods of not-trying over the course of 2 yrs :( We actually we're trying when ds was conceived, as I had a m/c 3 wks before and we decided to take some time off. So, I guess the answer could be Oops!, 1 month, or 6 yrs.

It took almost a year. Actually, we were gonna wait one more week and then talk to a fertility doctor, and then...we were pregnant.

Both of our pregnancies were surprises. The first occured on our one month anniversary of marriage. Conceived on a safe day, and I was being a chicken, and we were using two other forms of b/c on top of that. We miscarried at nine weeks. That experience taught us a lot about trust and following God's will, and quite a few other things for me. Our second one was a surprise three months later. Also conceived on a safe day, however, I had the feeling that we were going to have a baby in nine months that night. How, I have no idea....

We were married about 10 weeks when I found out I was going to have our first. I was in a daze. It was not part of our plan. But God is good and jr is part of His plan.

we weren't trying but- less than a month of being married- the second one however is elusive- we've been trying for over 2 years.

We got it on the first try :D . For 5 years we kept waiting and waiting because we can't afford a family here, but finally one day we were just like "When can anyone really afford a family?" So we gave it up to God.

With dd#1 we were trying to get pg and did on our first try. Then with dd#2 we wanted a summer baby and the dr told me it would probably take 6 months so we started trying and guess what, we got pg on the 1st time again. Needless to say we had a winter baby instead of summer.
