View Full Version : Robeez
Anyone else buy Robeez for their kiddos? I love them!!
Here's a link (http://robeez.com) in case you don't have any idea what I'm talking about. I am sure our geographical locations will make a difference in what they are called!
mamallama 10-13-2006, 09:53 PM Oh boy do I love them too! I bought the pink kitty ones for dd and they were her very first pair of shoes! I still have them. I couldn't bare to part with them! For ds, I bought a pair of dinosaur knock-offs from Target - but equally cute. Only thing is, I've lost one. [crwy]
mommyto3 10-14-2006, 07:55 AM yes, my two youngest had 1 pair of each size.(my 3 year old still wears his). the lady who did my daycare knew a salesperson from the company so i got mine at a discounted price. i think i paid $15 a pair. jake(3 yo) and grayce(amost 2) love to wear them.
mommyto3 10-14-2006, 10:34 AM i got my daughter a pair from WalMart for only $10. they have winnie the pooh, baby scooby doo, and thomas. my daughter wore hers even outside in the summer and they are still in as great shape as the actual robeez.
love2bmom 10-14-2006, 11:24 AM I was so excited when I first discovered these adorable shoes. I never saw them when DS was smaller. But I have 3 pair for DD. I bought 1 pair from ebay & the other I actually got from a site that doesn't charge for shipping it was the best deal.
She has a solid pink pair, white pair & yellow & orange that go so well with a bunch of her outfits.
I also asked for more for Christmas..
ChamomileFriend 10-14-2006, 06:42 PM I always have a pair of Robeez for Alex for trips where we won't do too much walking on concrete - it is perfect for when i take him to my parents' house, which i do fairly often. He outgrew his train pair already and is about to out grow his shark pair, so i will need more, soon. Robeez are awesome! They are the only pair of shoes that are easy for us to get on but hard for him to get off.
I also have an elefant knock-off pair from Target that i really like. Wish there was a Walmart nearby so i could check out those Winnie the Pooh soft-sole shoes!
MomFromCanada 10-15-2006, 05:42 PM Robeez are the BEST THING ever and they are SO easy to take on and off. Another cool thing is that right now dd can't yet take them off herself either. We also have the pink kitty shoes and white bow shoes too.
Oh I love Robeez!!! They are great b/c we have hardwood floors and they keep ds from sliding everywhere. AND he can't get them off like houseshoes. They must be pretty comfy b/c he brings them to me wanting me to put them on him!! :D
breezykc2 10-16-2006, 12:48 PM Love Robeez and I love the Target knock-offs by Circo....both brands I've had excellent luck with washing and setting out to dry and holding up to outside play for a couple of years! Highly reccomended!
Godzgirl 10-16-2006, 03:46 PM Like a lot of you mentioned they got some at target by Circo.
2xBlest 11-03-2006, 01:43 AM For my DD, I bought Jack & Lily which is basically the same thing. For DS, I got Robeez, the ones with the baseball and mitt. Too cute!!! :D
Cheeseburger 11-03-2006, 03:38 PM These look pretty nice. Do they make these things for adults too? I would love a pair for house slippers.
love2bmom 11-03-2006, 06:01 PM Hi, I just realized I should show you all the link I use to buy DD's Robeez. There is no shipping & it the cheapest price out there...

BornInSeptember 11-04-2006, 12:41 AM Robeez / Pedoodles/ Bobux/ Jack and Lily are all similar in design. I like the target brand though, Circo. A lot cheaper. I always check second hand stores for them though.
buttercup_97140 11-07-2006, 12:42 AM Another happy Target knock-offs customer. I just wish they had more of a selection, and solid colors, but hey, at that price, it's worth it!!

jessgr 11-22-2006, 02:09 PM We are Robeez fans here! My DD loved them and I just ordered a new pair for DS.
AngieBlessedby3 11-22-2006, 04:21 PM I honestly have never had a pair but the coop on the diaper website just ordered something like them for $11.50 a pair (when the coop ordered at least 50 pair) www.liljos.com
I hope we like them

I just got ds a new pair of Robeez from there love2bmom, thanks for the link - they have toddler sizes, too which are hard to find outside the main Robeez site.
This site has "Johnny Sneaker Socks" for boys too which made me so excited!! I thought they only made cute shoe-socks for girls but now they have them for boys, too. Those will be perfect for ds#2.
4HisGlory 01-15-2007, 07:54 PM I am glad you all mentioned the target ones. I have been wondering if they we as good, so that makes me happy for when I need to buy some :D
love2bmom 01-15-2007, 08:33 PM Isn't it a great site... Glad you liked it!
HesAlive 01-16-2007, 06:45 PM Yes, love the ones from Target. DS can't take them off so his feet stay covered. And, on a positive note....most of his socks still have mates since he can't pull those off either!
BornInSeptember 01-17-2007, 12:46 AM I have a silly question. Do you pronounce it Rob-eez as in the name Rob, or Row-beez?
ChamomileFriend 01-17-2007, 05:13 AM I have a silly question. Do you pronounce it Rob-eez as in the name Rob, or Row-beez?
I usually say Row-beez, but I am not sure if that is the correct way to say it... (row like row your boat, not row like an argument)

um, row like row your boat is said DIFFERENTLY than row like an argument?? I thought it was the same?! [whatconfused]
I think the lady who made them named Robeez after her son from what i understand so it's probably Rob, like Robert.
I usually say Row-beez though anyway LOL
ChamomileFriend 01-17-2007, 05:47 AM um, row like row your boat is said DIFFERENTLY than row like an argument?? I thought it was the same?! [whatconfused]
I don't say them the same way, but I wasn't sure how to write out the phonetics of it in my post so i double-checked it in the Merriam Webster Dictionary (www.m-w.com); row like row your boat is said "rO" (#1 verb) but row like an argument is said "rau" (#6, intransitive verb).
I hope that makes sense! It is always hard to write out things the way you say them and I am sure there are regional variations on how these things are said, too...

I guess it is Rob as in the name, and then eez as in ease!
ChamomileFriend 01-19-2007, 07:30 PM Ok, I just ordered some shoes similar to Robeez, they are called Shoo Shoos. I got a pair for £12, yikes!! And that was on sale  I can't believe I spent £12 on a pair of baby shoes. Anyway, I hope they're nice. For those of you whose babies are cruising or walking and you own Robeez or the knock-off kind , how well do they do, and how long do they last? Just hoping I didn't waste £12.
The Target/Circo brand I got lasted as long as my reg Robeez - ds always outgrows them before they wear out, so I never had a problem with either brand falling apart, just a few minor scuffs, nothing really noticeable.
edit: I forgot, ds is 2, walks, runs, jumps in his shoes, and he outgrows all of his shoes every 4-6 months depending on his growth spurts. We use Robeez/knock-offs indoors only as outside there is just lots of concrete and not too much green around here. I think 12 pounds is like $23 here? I usually pay $25-$26 for Robeez and I think Target is about half as much.
If you like the Shoo Shoos can you let me know? I am always curious about other soft sole shoes, but always hesitate to spend the money.
I would really like to try http://www.softstarshoes.com/ bec they make them for kids of all ages, adults and you can design your own, but I still haven't bec I am not sure if they are worth the $$. They certainly look like it though - I could just picture ds 1, ds 2 and me all having matching shoes
love2bmom 01-19-2007, 07:31 PM Sorry I don't know my exchange figures.. but for the Robeez I order there is no shipping and cost 25.95 for the simple styles, not the boots.
