Do you love to smell your baby? I just love Matilda's milky sweet smell.
Am I crazy or what :D I keep waiting for someone to say "Why are you smelling that baby?" LOL

Maybe I am all alone on this one, but I even like the way my three-year-old daughter smells too. I love the way both of my kids smell. It's the best comfort scent in the world. It makes me feel all cozy and snuggly. I want to just kiss and hug on them and be mushy.

I looooove baby smell! :D My problem is I don't stop at smelling. I rub my nose and lips on her soft head too. So I'm waiting for someone to come along and ask "Why are you eating that baby??"

I remember that newborn smell and it was just so special! I love the smell of babies too, except for when they have those stinky diapers! [whatwacko]
Just before I read this post my 3 year old just came out the shower and he smelt so clean and fresh!

I loved smelling my baby's heads. I love to smell my kids now when they come out of the shower but not when they get home from school [girlmimi] . Stephanie :D

It is so funny that I read this thread...just yesterday I was at the mall, I saw my pastor there with his newborn daughter sleeping in his arms...the funnest thing was, he picked her up and smelled the "wrong end"!! Appearently she had produced a present for daddy while she was sleeping....haha

I don't have any proof to back this up other than its a wive's tale, but baby smell is there for a reason..They smell so sweet and fresh when they're clean and healthy...If they're sick and not showing it, it supposedly changes their natural smell and parents used to be able to catch things early on by smelling their babies :D I and a few other teachers tried this out at the last daycare I worked at and its true..If you know the smell of each baby, you can tell when they're not themselves before symptoms appear...Its good because it allows the caregiver to give the parents a heads up!

Oh but yeah, I smell my kid [girlprincess] when she's all clean and cuddling with me and can't wait to smell my future babies [heartbeat]

I still smell Gabe! He's six! Lis, I think you're on to something. Gabe smells different when he's sick. I've never paid much attention to Bri when he's sick, but patrick doesn't have that baby smell, he smells like a man. His head smells exactly like his daddy's. Bri's head generally smells like peanut butter and "daycare cookies" (those little butter cookies that are shaped like a "flower?" with the hole in the middle. I think Murray makes them? They're like .99 for a decent sized pack, at least here, so the daycares around here use them)

I love baby smell too. And whenever I've washed Sophie or Abbys hair I love to smell their head because I love the baby shampoo smell.

Actually I noticed Sophie smelt different when she had her cold.

Tara - LOL what on earth did you mean about the baby spit? I was wondering if I should begin greasing my pram wheel which squeeks with it or what? ROTF
