Greetings to all in Christ!!
I joined in June...but I didn't have a chance to come back until today. I haven't yet had a chance to read many of the introductions or other threads since June, but I'm looking forward to it.
I'm married to my best friend, and tomorrow's our 22nd anniversary (October 4th)! We're both "first-generation" Christians in our families. Our wedding verse was Ephesians 2:20, and God's been teaching us that theme all these years. (For example, when our kiddoes were a toddler and an infant, I fought non-Hodgkin's lymphoma for a year. God graciously preserved my life, and all these years later they still have their mommy. [praying]) I've had several health issues during my parenting years. I feel like God has used them to hone my mommy-ing. I really feel like I'd have been a kind of Nazi-mom, but God has used my various illnesses to teach me to be relational and such. We're always learning something from the Lord! I'm really thankful for the Lord's work in my heart. What would I do without Him?
We have a 16-year old son and a daughter who's 13. My husband and I enjoy them both. It's interesting to try to understand what it's like for them to grow up in a Christian home (as we both had unbelieving parents...though both our moms are now believers). Both our teens are learning what it means to follow Christ...and so still are their parents, of course! :-D
We're grateful to have been going to the same church for nearly twenty years now, where we've been so fed on the richness of God's Word. We love it! :-D
Anyway, greetings to each of you in Jesus' love. Thanks for having me!
