Where do I start? :???:
First.. the baby IS posterior, meaning its facing forward. It's not that huge of a deal.. it just 'can' mean a longer harder labor. I guess because my placenta is in the front it would be hard to make the baby roll over because they typically like to face the placenta? So the best bet is to wait until I go into labor then use positions and exercises to change the babies position. As to when I will go into labor.. well, do you all remember my due date discrepancy thread? http://www.christian-mommies.com/forumsv4/showthread.php?t=7220&highlight=due+date Originally we had thought my due date was Sept 27th. We changed it to the 15th going by 'possible' date of conception which I thought was right on. Well the last few appointments my fundal height was under by a couple cm's. Today it was under by 4cm!!! I don't know what to think about this. There are two things that could cause me to measure under.. one, the baby being posterior, and two, if the babies dropped. That wouldn't cause me to measure 4 under though. So I'm thinking my original due date is more accurate. Its just crazy though.. I have felt like the baby is trying to claw its way out for weeks (effacement) and I've had lots of vaginal discharge (the right kind, thick, stringy egg white) and I just feel ready! Anyway.. I'm really not worried about it. I mean I only want this baby to come when its ready. I'm fine with that being another 2-4 weeks. I just wanted to let all you know that I could be pregnant for a while longer. ;)
The other part of the update is about my midwife. She is leaving town tomorrow so we will be having the "back-up" midwife come to do the birth. She is going to come tomorrow and do her own pre-natal so I will update you all about that. Please pray for that to go well.
Thanks ladies!
