36 weeks and counting! :) i saw the doctor today, and all is as it should be, praise God! i am a little bummed about my c-section date - october 31st, but am holding to the fact that i am not a superstitious person, and plenty of babies are born on that day, and isn't it really about having a healthy baby more than about the specific day?

the doctor was encouraging though, and said that because i am 36 weeks now, i could go into labor at any time and instead of trying to stop labor, they would just do the c-section early. so here's praying that 'baby sister' will make an early arrival! :)

That is coming right up, so I am sure your getting very excited :) My 2nd baby was also a scheduled c-section. I wish you all the best :)

Fantastic! You must be excited. Mine will be along a few weeks after yours.

Nothing evil about October 31 unless a person makes it to be so...

thank you all for your prayers! i'm praying fervently that she comes soon! when i was pregnant with my first, both nerves in my right leg became pinched very badly for the last several weeks. i've got the same with this one, but worse.. instead of just the leg, it's the whole right side.. so the sooner the baby comes, the sooner there will be some relief! with the change in weather here, slip-ons are no longer practical, so my husband is having to help me with socks and shoes.. my hero [angel]

so my husband is having to help me with socks and shoes.. my hero

Oh yeah that is no easy task the last few weeks ;) I suggest buying a pair of crocs they are soooooooo comfy and easy to slip on! You can buy the generic kind at payless they are a bit cheaper there!

I have to ask you, what is a magic8ball?????

magic 8-ball is one of those big plastic black 8-balls (like from pool or billiards or whatever), that you ask a question and shake and it gives you an answer.. just a silly thing that my husband collected for a while in his younger days. we've just always used the same 'handle' for everything since we've been married.

oh ok I have seen those and thought that is what it might be :) Then I thought maybe it is some kind of magic ball you use in your washing machine??
Thanks, I was very curious!

so more on the update.. seems our dd-to-be found a spot she was quite comfortable in and decided to glue herself there, even though it was so excruciatingly painful for me. i did the excercise the doctor recommended for times like these (on all fours on the floor and wiggling around - awkward, but it works), and once i did that she DROPPED big time! i spent the next little while waddling around, and then she decided to head back up to the previous position.. ARGH!
