I decided to make this a separate thread so that it'd be more visible. I copied and pasted some of my last post here:

Background info here: she has asked to sit on her potty and asked for paper and/or wipes, asked to have her diapers off, said "potty" while naked in backyard and then peed on command. She has stripped her dirty diaper off in the store and proudly said, "My diaper's off!" LOL. I put her to bed before, dressed in T-shirt, shorts, and a diaper. She woke up with just a T-shirt, she had taken her diaper and shorts off.

Yesterday, on a couple of occasions she said "Potty" or "Poopy" and I sat her on her toilet and she peed immediately.

That's what's making me think that she's ready to work on it.

UPDATE: Today she woke up and ate breakfast while still in her nighttime diaper. While nursing, she began to pull at it to get it off. I helped her get it off and while she was running naked around the living room she said, "Poopy." I said, "Go ahead and sit down, your potty is right there." She sat on her potty BY HERSELF and peed and had a very proud look on her face. I told her how proud of her I was and gave her a treat right away.

So, this is a little more background on why I'm trying to potty train, since I didn't give all her readiness signs at the beginning of my prior thread.

Just one question, what should I have her wear when I go out in public? She seems to train best when naked from the waist down but obviously that's not very socially acceptable. Should I use cloth training pants?

I used cloth training pants for a while, but found the sposy ones worked better. Mine potty-learned nekkie.. then graduated to underwear in the house.. but for going out of the house, it was pull ups.

same here. while out and about i used pull-ups. They have different ones that you can still "feel" the pee when you go, but there's no mess.
