My little angel, Preston, has learned how to unlock and open and go out of the front storm door. I like to have my front door open during the day. Well, I was sitting her surfing C'Moms and I *thought* I heard the storm door open but then in my mind, I was thinking no way he unlocked it. Boy was I wrong. I got up and the little goose was halfway in the front yard. We live on a dirt road that's not very busy--thank God!! I ran out there like a crazy woman to get him and told him no no no--you have to ask mommy or daddy to take you bye-bye. Then he started shaking his finger saying "no no no". How can you be mad at that? :lol:

Oh my! Its hard to resist that boyish charm..My nephew was like that..He once slid a highchair up to the front door and let himself out in the middle of the night..My sister awoke to find him snug in his crib,remnants of cookie scattered about, and her eye glasses behind the back wheel of her car :lol:

Oh Lori, that's so scary... and funny! [rofl] He sounds like a cute kid. I can just see you all pregnant, running out in the yard chasing down your child. [rotfl] Cute mental image. :lol:

I know how scary that can be! My dd did the same thing. Luckily she stopped doing it after that. I think she just noticed how freaked out i got and figured it wasn't a good thing. :lol:

Funny and scary I'm sure. We now have to lock our screen door (high lock) because ds has figured out how to unlock the big door. Kids! Amazing lil' things! ~Kerri

I am there... we have to use the eye hook locks all the way at the top of the door. He has discovered chairs.. We have all the danger doors covered with childproof handles.. however he has figured out how to get those off. Ingenious child of mine. So you will have to go to the hardware store and get the eye hook latches. Do you know what I mean?
