I"ve heard that potty training child #2 is sometimes easier b/c they want to be like big brother/sister.

Well, the other day, Hattie (19months) came and said, mama peepee. So I put her on the pottie and she went!! Yeah! Of course I know NOT to push her to do this all the time, but hey, its a step in the right direction. Of course most of the time, when big brother runs to the potty to pee, she follows with her shirt up, I think she thought pee could come out of her belly button. Ha!

my #2 was much harder to train then his big sister. he is a boy with a lot of stubborn dutch blood and we just figured out he would completely trained when he was ready. (which was at 3 years and 4 months) my longest at 21 months also will say peepee and will sit on the potty and has gone a few times, but we are no pushing her.

awesome!!

we introduce ours to the potty around 1 Not expecting anything, just a 'this is the potty' kind of thing. anyway, I remember dh sat ds#2 on the potty at that age and said "pee" and he did LOL and continued to do so each and every time
that child was out of diapers, full time, at 18 mo. Never an accident or bedwetting at night..nothing..weird LOL

but the #3 had to be pokey, but I blame that on our situation at the time...we missed that "window" when he was showing signs of readiness but I couldn't oblige (living in a tent!!!)

in the end, they are each their own person, but yeah, I think like anything, the latter children do pick up on things by watching and imitating the elders

bravo for hattie...keep encouraging momma :)

(sorry for post appearance..baby in arms/nak)
