My sister, whom I love very much, is turning 40. She likes to read, so I would really like to give her a book that could possibly reach her spiritually. She claims she is a Christian, but she obviously lives "in the world" and it saddens me to see that she just-doesn't-get-it. KWIM? Please help...we pray for her and we try to set a good example with our lives and I know that is all WE can do...The rest is up to the Lord. But, I can't think of a better gift to give her than a book and I would like it to be something uplifting and edifying to God. Any ideas?

TIA

I really enjoyed Stepping Heavenward by Mrs. E. Prentiss. It is a Christian classic. It is written in journal form. A woman's journey through life and her relationship with God and others. It shows her struggle with serving God in the beginning and then her desire to serve God completely. ~A very good book~

I have this hard cover version. It is so pretty too.:-D I love old books.

Thank you, Kathaleen.

The first thing my sister said about the book was how pretty it was!
