Sorry no picture yet. I'm going to try to do one sometime in this next week. :)

However, I had my dr appt today and wanted to fill you in. I mentioned the crazy BH I had been having earlier in the week. He said "not much you can do about those" and told me to take some tylenol. What??!!?? Um....how about no!

I forced a conversation about labour/delivery because he hadn't brought that up yet (who knows how long that would have taken left to him) because there were a few things I wanted to tell him about my expectations. I was shocked to discover that he didn't even know that this wasn't my first pregnancy. Don't doctors read the files of their patients?? I told dh that I didn't expect him to remember all the details of my previous pregnancies or labours, but for goodness sake! He should at least be in tune enough to know that this is my 3rd pregnancy!!! Grrrr....when I mentioned that I wanted to talk about labour/delivery he started talking me through everything as if I had never heard/experienced any of this before. Halfway through he must have picked up something in my tone of voice because he finally said "is this not your first pregnancy?" Um....NO! sigh....I miss my midwife. And my doctor that I had before that. I'm going to have to start researching if there are any other docs I can see after this baby is born because I don't want to stay with this one.

On a more positive note, my blood pressure and baby's heart rate are both fine. I am measuring 35 cm at 33 weeks. I've never measured big before. Does that mean this babe might come early? Or does it just mean that this is my third pregnancy and my belly is all stretched out? lol.

Still experiencing more BH than last week, but nothing like at the start of this week, so that is good. Now I just have to get caught up on housework that I neglected when I was trying to rest and make the BH go away. lol. And try not to push too hard so they don't come back.

That ended up being more of an update than I expected. lol. Oh well - all is well and that is what matters most.

((((((hugs))))) That would be annoying Kim. I wish you had your midwife back. But The Great Physician will be there helping you all the way ;) Praying you have a safe delivery.

Hi Kim... I read your post and I understand your frustration with your doctor... I was just telling my DH how at least they should read something about you before getting in the room to speak with you... even if they don't care... they could at least pretend they do... but what can we do??? Thank God this new MW I am with is much much much better!!! I love having changed!

I am glad everything is going well... is good to know about the heart rate and blood pressure... those things really make us feel better when we are pregnant ... in my case it is my first one... but still... now I understand what a relief those news are.

About the baby being "bigger" ... I had the same question you do... mine is "bigger" and is not coming any earlier... the MW said it doesn't have anything to do with when the baby is being born... is just "bigger" ... I still thought in my mind that Natalia would be born earlier because of this... but ... as you can see I am almost 39 weeks now.... and nothing... so.... I guess we'll go all the way 'till the due date.... :) ... I was 44 centimeters this last time (38 weeks) and... no.... Natalia doesn't seem to be coming any earlier... (which I was hoping)...

Take care!

God bless you

and thanks for sharing.

Paloma.

Just a bigger baby?? EEK! lol.

Thanks for letting me vent yesterday. Despite my frustrations, the reality is that the doc is there for such a short part of the labour/delivery, as long as he is competent (which I think he is) all this stuff won't really matter. Even if I *really* liked this doc, I could get the on call doc anyway, right? So healthy baby is all that matters. So far so good on that front! :D

I would definitely be looking for another doctor as well!

Have you written out a birth plan? Sounds like it would be worth your time this time.

*hugs*
