We are probably all familiar with Mommy's magic kiss that makes everything better. Well in our family my kisses are not the answer. If dd (21 months) hurts herself and is screaming about it (which doesn't usually happen unless she has badly hurt herself) - it takes one magic kiss from ds (4 years) to turn off the crying and bring out the smiles again. It seems to work even when my kisses don't help. The first time it happened ds turned to me with wide eyes and said "My kisses are magic!". Isn't it sweet to see sibblings interact like that?

Does anyone else have a cute sibbling story?

That is so cute Jo! I love those precious moments. Reminds me of my kiddos. Two weeks ago when i had my surgery, their where times where i couldn't get to my ds in time after he slipped and feel (not hard) but he whimpered a little and my dd came to the rescue. She gave him a hug and a kiss and said it's okay sweetie! You're okay, Hannah is here and mommy is here and Jesus is here. So sweet!

That is so lovely Vanessa - what a caring little girl you have!

We had another cute sibbling moment when I picked ds up from preschool today. He mentioned that one of his friends doesn't have a little sister. I told him that not everyone has a little sister and pointed out another friend that doesn't either. Then he said in bewilderment "But everyone needs a little sister". He just adores having a sibbling - and he always insisted that our baby was going to be a girl even before we knew.

aww too cute

all of mine are always doing something like this it seems
they are always quick to tend to the baby when he cries...consoling him or being silly to make him laugh
Nugget loves finding new, goofy things to do to entertain Warrior. As of late it's tickling his feet or pretending Warrior is boxing him. Warrior outright laughs over that one hehe

And I can't remember just what it was now, but something was wrong with Eldest, this was back when Doodles was about 2 I guess. But something was wrong, he hurt himself or something, and Doodles came up to him, gave him a big hug 'aww it ok bub' I wish I could remember the whole story now :p

Awww these are the sweetest stories!

With my older boy, he will be 13 in yikes a week Ryan. While driving to our current fair our placement of our trailer changed, I was a tad upset. While telling this to hubby Ryan said, "now mom let's look at the positive things we can get from this. And he begins to attempt to show me the silver lining. That spoke volumes to me really it did.

The other, my 2 sons are very, very sensitive. Ryan 13 and Lukas 5. If they hear another sibling crying, its now Lukas' age that he tends to cry when they do. Ryan did at that age too but till this day is sensitive to the others being upset, gives up anything, especially when its their sister. Just give it to her pleeeease mom little Lukas will ask me. He will give up anything even his most prized toy if she wants it and begins a tear up. He just has such a special love for his younger sister.

And my son Lukas while I was sick a few weeks ago, I couldn't move type of sick-- would come to me throughout the day and say "dr. Lukas is here mom are you okay? Do you want me to sit with you? How are you feeling?" And he would just do this all day.

And last lately my daughter is such the girl and nurse. I swear that child can hear someone fall a mile away. If she hears a brother fall she runs for the bandaids, opens it and waits for them to come in to bandage them up. And say to them "oh sweetie don't worry it'll be okay sweetie."

Mandy has to always refer to the boys as "sweeties" too.

Thanks Becca! It made my heart melt too since i didn't have to tell her go check on your brother, she just did it on her own. And hearing her talk to him like i do to them was just icing on the cake! I'm glad they are learning some good things from me and not the bad. lol
