Yesterday, when we were visiting a friend at a rehab center, Hannah slipped and fell and split her lip open. As she started wailing, I quickly picked her up, lifted my shirt and latched her on. My friend had left the room to get ice, she came back and saw Hannah nursing and said, "Oh that's why she calmed down so fast! I wondered why she stopped wailing so quickly."
Hannah peacefully nursed away for a few more minutes, then got up and started playing and eating frito chips as if nothing had happened. I love toddler nursing because it's the one surefire way to calm her down when she hurts herself (which happens a fair amount!).
Just wanted to share. :)
