For a boy! We have no idea what to name this baby if it is a boy! I know we have a while to go, but it will be here before you know it. So....tell me which you like best.

Tanner will definitely be the middle name because of a family name. DH wants it to be the first name, but there's just something about it that I don't really like as a first name. We want something different, but not crazy. Like Banana or something. We like fruit and all, but we don't want to name our child after it. :wink: Anyway, I'll tell you dh and my favorites once I get a little input. So, input away. Just wanted to see what you ladies thought!!

Well, I quite like Nelson Tanner. To me, when I hear Braxton it makes me think Hicks should be after it. :? But it's a nice name, if only Hicks would quit popping in my head after saying it. I hope I picked your fav!

I'd have to vote for Nelson too...Dallas makes me think of the city and how terrified I was driving there in all of that traffic! :shock:

I like Braxton...for some reason my head doesn't pop to Hicks. Waylon however makes me think of Waylon Jennings but that would be my second pick.

I like Dallas (that's our pastor's name actually hehe) and Waylon. At first I was like ... 'waylon??' then just that fast..ooo, I think I like it! Different, but not off the wall different. I like those kinds of names myself. Yeah, yeah...Dallas or Waylon...don't know that I could pick between the two, so I'll just leave it at that, for now.

I like Braxton also! :wink:

Ok, after thinking about it, my vote is for Dallas. That was one of my great-grandpa's names. AND it is the city where my amazingly wonderful husband was born.

If the two of you really can't agree on a name, why not use both and just give him two middle names? I've known a lot of people to do that. Just a thought.

For us it was girl's name. I am so grateful for online baby naming dictionaries!!!! I spent hours looking at girl's names before we found one we could agree on. My next step was to go and print names up and put them on a dart board and choose that way. Feel free to borrow that idea if it comes down to it!

I think Dallas is sooo cute. It would be my first choice. My second choice would be Nelson.

I can't believe we are having such a hard time finding a name. I really really like Dallas but dh says it reminds him of the TV show and Dallas TX. He likes Braxton too, but I don't really know about it... Hmmmm... :?

Babies should come with those little certificates like Cabbage Patch Kids do. They're already named. :lol: Actually, ummm, no, I take that back. I had a boy CPK named Barcloft Felix. So, okay, we'll choose something.

Keep voting though! Don't let my (wonderful and amazing) choice affect what you decide at all. :wink:

I vote for Braxton. Honestly, "hicks" never came to mind until I saw others' responses.

I would say Nelson....I did think of Hicks with Braxton too, I have known too many Dallas and I think of the city, and Waylon is kind of weird. I really shouldn't vote though, I really don't like most names out there...it took Dh and I over 5 years to come up with a name, and when we finally had a successful pg where we actually needed a name, we changed it after we found out we were having our Emma.....
I do know that whatever you decide with be wonderful along with that little face that will be so precious!! :-D

Can I ask what's your last name? Cuz that can make all the difference. I loved the name Hunter, but with a last name of Baker, well, it just didn't sound right then. LOL

And what are your other kids' names? We have a pattern thing going with our names, I'm Angie, DH is Brian, DS is Colin, so our next child had to be named with a "D" name. However, if I get pregnant again, we're it's either Zoe or Zachary!!! LOL

Our last name is Harmon. That's where the harmony5 comes from. :wink: Our kids names are Courtney, Alexander and Preston.

My grandpa's name was Harlan and I really like that, but Harlan Harmon was not even going to work! :lol:

I think I like Waylon (very unique) or Nelson best. All of your choices sound ok with your last name; I'm glad you thought of that. :) Keep us updated as to what you chose!
