We thought we had it all worked out. Both boy name and girl name picked out. Family middle names, it was all good. Then last night dh and I are laying in bed talking and mutually agreed we no longer 'feel' the boy name so we are starting over. It took so long to pick these names in the first place!! We won't change the middle name....ds has my dad's name for a middle, so if this is a boy, he will have fil's name for a middle. Problem is fil's name is Ian which sounds silly with so many names. (To us it often sounds like...gosh...can't find the words to describe...I guess an example will have to do. I grew up in Calgary, therefor I am a "Calgarian". Ian tends to blend with the first name and sound like that.)

Just needed to vent. And no, in case you are wondering, we don't share names before the baby is born. We're just like that. :D

How about Calum? Kinda a mimixture of Alan & Liam & if you start it w/ a K it can go for Kim too.

Here is info on the name:

isn't that weird...how you can mull over names and find one...then all of a sudden, one day, it just doesn't jive anymore

I don't blame you for not sharing hehe that's my style too

but don't worry, *the* name will come to you, and it doesn't matter if its not sey before the birth :)

it is weird because it was *so* perfect for so long. Oh well. I was looking for names this afternoon and only found 2 I liked, but dh doesn't like either. Maybe he will like them better if I tell him what they mean. They have really cool meanings. :D

You'll find something you both love, I know it! Be encouraged, and keep looking! [praying]

Ahhh the name game.......it is fun to play but hard to decide, isn't it?

I was never one of those Momma's that had my children's names picked out years in advance. I admire those that do and then don't change their minds.

God will bring you great new choices about this little one's precious name.

It's kinda funny cuz you come up with different names then once bebe is here and named, it's like "well yeah, that's exactly the name baby looks like" and suddenly it's the perfect "one".

Since your son is Liam (Irish name) and your daughter is Fiona (Scottish name), maybe you could look further along those lines.

That's exactly our plan, Madre! :D And as for the names that I had mentioned finding....I told dh the meanings and he *might* be changing his mind on one!
