Ok, I went back to the dr. yesterday for my two week appt. Everything went pretty well. I'd only gained a pound from the last two weeks, so I'm up to 15 lbs. all total, which he was extremely happy about. Everything else looked good. We talked about me having Polyhydramnios (excessive fluid). From what I read, you should have about 25 cm of it. Well, he said mine was 36 when they measured it at the U/S. At this point they don't know why I've got the excess, and he said sometimes they never know, just maybe the makeup of the woman. I did mention the fact, that I've always retained fluid and have been on fluid pills for years because of it. My mom and sister are the same way. He didn't really say that could be it or not the reason, though, my mom and I really believe that may be why. Anyway, he's going to send me back to the Perinatologist for another U/S there to make sure there are no birth defects or anything with the baby causing the extra fluid. So, they should call me on Monday or Tuesday with a time I have to go back to him. He did say too, sometimes they go in and will draw out some of the fluid when there is too much. It's just like they do when they do an amnio. They do that when you get extremely uncomfortable because you're uterus is so big because of the extra fluid or the mother starts having a very difficult time breathing because of the extra fluid. He did say too, when I start going in two weeks for the NSTs, I will have to do that twice a week from here on out. So, I'm happy they are being very proactive and cautious, and I just pray everything's okay on Austins end.
