View Full Version : my chart mom2pbj 07-12-2008, 05:51 PM ok, I am still trying to figure this out. Can someone take a look at my chart in my siggy and see if it looks like I o'd? It does not exactly match up w/ your EWCM, but, the temps look like they are heading in the right direction. Are you not still using OPK's?? I only see one? mom2pbj 07-12-2008, 06:15 PM I only had 1 OPK left and didn't buy anymore, thought I would just watch the signs. savedbygrace 07-12-2008, 11:27 PM You may have O'd on the 17th. My cm never really matched up with my temps. Keep charting and be faithful at it, you'll start to see more of a pattern and then you'll be able to see around the time you usually O. But if your temps stay up I'd say the 17th. mom2pbj 07-13-2008, 10:30 PM Does covering up with a blanket effect your temp? Some morning I have just a sheet because I am hot and others I am cold and have our comforter. Didn't know if this would effect anything. savedbygrace 07-14-2008, 12:10 AM For some it makes a difference. My temps never altered too much. But some people, if they get up to use the bathroom it changes or has an affect on their temp. Just try to be as consistent as possible. Also if you take your temp vaginally it is more accurate. If I did it orally my temps altered easily, vaginally it didn't ChamomileFriend 07-14-2008, 05:19 AM I agree that it looks like your peak day is 17; it is ok if the EWCM and temp spike don't happen at the same time - usually your fluid changes before and during ovulation but the temp spike happens after the egg is released bec of the surge of progesterone. I have noticed many women have some kind of fertile fluid after they O, but not as much as before/during. Alot of women also see a temp dip right before a spike around the time they ovulate, too, so that is normal, too. I am taking an NFP class and have been looking at a lot of charts this week, lol. It was BlessedMommy who recommended I take one when I was having trouble with my own charts and I have to say it has been a really big help, so you might want to consider it both for TTC and after. BlessedMommy 07-14-2008, 01:58 PM You haven't o'ed yet. Probably having a delayed ovulation. Are you having any significant stress this cycle? In order to confirm ovulation, you need to have a dramatic change from more fertile to less fertile mucus (a "drying up") that coincides with a 4/10 degree thermal shift over the prior six temperatures. I second ChamomileFriend's recommendation to take a NFP class. So much helpful information! I will probably take a refresher class after this pregnancy, since DH and I will use it again after this pregnancy. mom2pbj 07-14-2008, 06:08 PM Thanks for all the help ladies, I will look into that class. No stress this cycle, but it is our first cycle off clomid and before clomid I usually o'd around cd21. Well DH is out of town for 5 days so this month may be a bust. Thanks again ;) Skunkers 07-14-2008, 07:12 PM i am wondering if that open circle is messing things up. try the same temp but w/ normal time and see what that does... i'm just curious ChamomileFriend 07-14-2008, 07:15 PM [quote=BlessedMommy;124970 In order to confirm ovulation, you need to have a dramatic change from more fertile to less fertile mucus (a "drying up") that coincides with a 4/10 degree thermal shift over the prior six temperatures.[/quote] That is true, the higher temps are still not 0.4 above day 9's temp and I see the temps are dropping back down again now. I see I've got more studying to do :) mom2pbj 07-15-2008, 09:54 AM Got my crosshairs today! My temp went up to 98.1!! Now, I pray that it stays up!! BlessedMommy 07-15-2008, 10:05 AM Hmmm...with the info on your chart, I'm not convinced that you ovulated. I guess that time will tell. Of course, there are some missed temps which make it harder to interpret. |
