View Full Version : What a difference

It was only just recently I was complaining of my kids not wanting to eat and being rude at dinner time telling me what they were and weren't going to eat, and what they like and don't like.

Well due to the encouragement of some of the CM, we perservered in insisting that the children eat what was in front of them and complaints and comments beginning with "but I don't like..." were nipped in the bud.

Pleased to report that DS now eats without complaint - he falls too his dinner - he even ate potatoe and leak soup and said to me "Thank you Mummy for getting my meal for me". If there is something he geninely hates (such as broccoli) we simply ask for a mouthful and he complies.

How refreshing to hear "Thankyou for my dinner" rather than "NO! I don't like that, I want..."

DD is getting better, she still needs work.

Just goes to show you what a bit of perseverance will do.

Great news!!! It took my DS a little while, but he finally realized that he was going to have to eat what we had or nothing. We are like you, if it's something he just does not like, then we ask for one bite and then it's ok. But I always take into consideration their likes and dislikes when I'm planning dinner.
