View Full Version : Pee Pee Blues
Who is so tired of having to make pee pee all the time? waaa it is torture! Everytime we go out poor hubby spends a delicious amount of time waiting outside the ladies bathroom for me.
That is not the worst of it, yesterday we were on our way to the zoo and I just HAD to pee, it hit suddenly so first I ran to a chemist and explained I was pregnant (thinking they would understand why the pee was urgent) and the chick turned me away (I don't think she's had kids personally) and there was a circus Joseph Ashton across the road - yes a CIRCUS, so I had to run to the circus, I ran into the arena hoping to find one of the performers but they were all in their caravans (show wasn't until some hours later) and then I FINALLY found one of the AShton family and begged her to use the bathroom - she was very doubtful at first and I could feel this pee was going to come out - and she finally let me... I had to dodge a lion on the way mind you (kidding)....
I HATE IT>..... waaaaaaaaaaaaa
We have joked about buying me a bed pan to keep in the car - now that is just gross LOL. My husband asked me why I don't just buy some adult diapers I was like "You know what your grandmother smells like"
He went pale and said "stop talking about it RIGHT now I am going to puke"
Where is it in the Bible they say "Count it all joy" again LOL bunnies
You know what I would have done? I would have said "ok then I'll just have to pee on your floor!" I bet they would have changed their mind real quick! LOL Better to let you use the toilet than to have to clean the floor right?!
I can't believe they would refuse to let you use their toilet. I've never once had that happen. I have used the toilet at the Petrol station and the supermarket too.
I can totally relate. It is awful. Especially when you are out somewhere. Or overnight. It's like having a UTI ... having to go and only doing a tiny bit and then having to go again a minute later. KWIM?

Some people are so rude--I just can't believe they wouldn't let you go pee. That is awful! I would have peed right there and taught them a lesson. When you're pregnant you have to pee a lot and obviously those people had never been pregnant before. Better luck next time. Stephanie

i could relate when i was preggo..wished i had a portable potty..lol..or if i was lazy enough probably would have worn depends..(kidding lol)
Well I would have thought to being at a chemist's store being used to taking care of people's health she would have been more understanding (but she was just the cashier).
I am not sure what it is about the South of the city (where I now live) but you get bad service and no assistance anywhere. Still I thought it was funny I had to ask the circus.

Huh I am surprised that lady didn't let you use the bathroom!!!
When I was pregnant this last time, we were on our way home after driving 4 hrs, I really needed a pit stop, so I went into a store in this small town, I was obviously VERY pregnant. So I asked the cashier if I could use the bathroom and she said well it isn't really for costumers, so she then preceeded to try and give me directions on how to find a public restroom in this town  meanwhile I am standing with my legs crossed and a young man about 18 or so who worked in the store was standing behind me , so he asked what was wrong and the cashier said oh she is pregnant and needs to use the restroom..................lol
He said, well let her use the one at the back of the store. Thankyou, somebody understands, even if it was an 18 yr old boy :)

Just took an 8 hour car trip today. I'm 24 weeks pregnant and boy those two do not go well together. I also hate going at night. With my last pregnancy I was eventually able to make to the bathroom and back without waking up. My husband will attest to this. I am hoping that I can regain that "skill" sometime soon.
 I wish I could do that!
Aussie_Mum... maybe it was because it's a Chemist and they hold all those drug supplies ... maybe it's more a security thing? Who knows. I still think it was pretty bad they wouldn't let you go.

Ouch, I feel your pain! I am 23 weeks pregnant and I can't sleep more than 5 or 6 hours at one stretch anymore, unless I dehydrate myself for 2 hours before bedtime.
I mean, before I got pregnant, I was a big water drinker but I didn't have to run to the bathroom in the night all the time. I think that maybe the baby is kicking around a lot in the night and hitting my bladder or something. Also, I know from experience what it's like to use the restroom and have to run back 5 minutes later.
Well, I basically look at it this way: God must have designed mechanisms into pregnancy to disturb our sleep so that we would be ready for all those night feedings.
"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations, knowing this that the testing of your faith worketh patience." (Somewhere in James 1)
Renee the drugs were no where near the toilets y'know? Everything is kept well behind a booth in a pharm here. I think the woman was just being an ignorant pain because she had been having a nice conversation with her co-worker before I walked in on them (LOL).
I have a theory too that God designed the peeing at night to train mothers into being used to waking at night to the baby.
It is fine the waking at night because the toilet is right near my bedroom - it's just TRAVELLING.
LOL you know what I did, got some Tenna lady which are pads for light bladder weakness LOL which I don't have but if I am busting on our 3 1/2 hr car trip to our holiday destination on Friday it is a tiny bit of peace of mind LOL

That's true. Sounds like you just annoyed her by interrupting her conversation. How rude.
I never thought about that before but it makes sense that that would be to train us to wake at night. Amazing how God works.
The pads are a great idea. I already use panty liners just so my undies don't get wrecked with the extra discharge. That's one thing I hate about being pregnant. And I never did pelvic floor exercises after I had Abby so I have that incontinence problem too. Sneezing, lifting, coughing, laughing, jumping... you KWIM.
Oh I feel for you! I don't have problems with lifting, sneezing etc - you know horseriding works like a treat for pelvic floor ....
All that rising to the trot you have to actually clench "the area" in order to ride the horse properly (no I am not kidding). Just a tip ladies!!!

Awrighty, I gotta revive this here thread cuz I am only like 9 weeks along, and I am up at least every two hours to go pee. Add that to the occasional toddler waking, and I am EXHAUSTED!! I didn't have this with my other guys! Nothing seems to make a difference at night either, stopping off the drinking a couple of hours before, or whatever... bah.
I'm also horribly horribly itchy! So going pee only makes that worse!
And those are my woes of the moment.
? Itchy? are you sure you don't need a canestan treatment? That is what happened to me when I was really early in the pregnancy - the worst case of thrush ever... are you sure it's not that?
As for the peeing, it will settle down - MINE HAS... YAY... until later in the pregnancy anyway LOL

You know, I don't know!! It's not like any yeast infection I've ever had before. It's keeping me up at night though, and I should really go to the dr's, I just hate going... stupid, I know.
Anyone know if you can use OTC yeast treatments when you're pregnant?
Yes you can use them - I had to use them and I got it over the counter no problem and the pharmacist said it was perfectly safe and also my obstetrician gave me a patient care sheet which warned that hormone swings may bring on the need to buy those treatments and that they are safe.
There is nothing worse tho.... *scream*

I have had several problems with yeast infections this pregnancy. They are not really like others I have had and I had no problems with #1. Also could you maybe have a UTI. That is very common during pregnancy.

Could it be a bladder infection? I always found that yeast infections felt a little better when I peed (not for long) but bladder infections are terrible. They aren't itchy usually though.
By the way, what's UTI mean?

So, I called my Dr. today. Not that I didn't trust you, Aussiemom! She said to give the OTC treatment a try. I sent my hubby out at lunch to pick one up for me (heh heh heh). She said if it doesn't clear up in a few days, to give a call back, and they'd check me out. This one simply doesn't feel like any other yeast infection I've had. It is really annoying.
Oh, UTI is Urinary Tract Infection.

I don't know what happened there.... (something wrong with posting?)
Anyway, I know! I tried to ride a pony (yes a pony! LOL) when I was about 13 and couldn't stay on it! HAHA

Maybe that's why I never had any problems! I just figured I was lucky but that makes sense. I'm bad at doing the exercises.
UTI's and thrush can often go hand in hand!!! and yeah you are right they don't usually itch....
No it is good you checked with your doctors office, I was only a medical secretary myself and certainly no doctor LOL.

I never did any pelvic floor exercises with my first pregnancy or after I had Abby and I haven't done any this time either.
