View Full Version : Pap Smear/Hemmorhoids???

I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced anything like this. Well, as you know I had very light occasional spotting starting at 7 weeks. I thought it might be due to the constipation and possible hemmorhoids. The dr said it was probably that.

Well, I had a pap done Friday at my appointment. I usually bleed when I have these and I did with this one. Normally the bleeding doesn't last longer than a day. Well, I still had bleeding on Sunday and Monday. Sometimes it wasn't there. Sometimes it was light. Sometimes it was darker.

I still had some bleeding today. When I urinated, there was nothing. When I had a bowel movement, there was a lot. And even a little clump of blood - not a clot, but a gooey type of clump. Not much, but a little.

I've had to wear a pad since Friday. I normally have to wear one for at least a day. But never this long. Could the bleeding possibly be a bleeding hemmorhoid? I do have a slight discomfort feeling after I use the restroom. If it is a bleeding hemorrhoid, would you need a pad?

Thanks. I'm going to call my dr to let them know what's going on. Just would like to know if anyone else has had this experience.

I know this is going to sound crazy and gross. But is there anyway you can use a mirror and look to see where the blood is coming from?

Because since I have had kids I have quite a few hemorrhoids and they do bleed but only when I have a BM and wipe...

Yup, Bekah's right about the hemorroids and kids. I'm only 20 and when I got prego with my son (my 2nd kid) I was hemorroid station! LOL Now I still get hemorroids.

So are you sure that the blood is coming from your butt (sorry TMI but it needed to be asked! )? Calling your doc would really be a good thing and trying to find out for sure where you're bleeding from.

Keep us updated!

The dr's office called back and wanted to schedule an u/s for this Friday just to make sure everything in going okay. They think it's probably hemorrhoids, but just wanted to make sure.

I was thinking about getting a mirror tonight after work and looking. The odd thing is I don't have much pain. I have slight discomfort while sitting, but no pain. I had a small bout with hemorrhoids earlier this year and they hurt and I never had blood. That's why I was a little concerned. But I know everything is different when you're pg.

As of my appointment on Friday, the occasional spotting I was having was not coming from my vagina or cervix. So, that was really good. I know it is way TMI  Not the best subject to be the topic of.

It will be nice if everything is fine and we get to see the baby again. I've been praying. Thank you all for your prayers.

I had hemorroids after I delivered my first, then again thoughout my pregnancy with my second, and now I just got them again 20 weeks into my third pregnancy. They have never got bad enough that I would spot though, just when I have a bm. Praying for you!

I did have a big glob due to a haemorroid during my last pregnancy. I naturally went into the midwives thinking it was vaginal - it was a bit embarassing, I kept the glob to show them

I am glad they are checking you out, that is always for the best. That is the only real way you are going to get any answers and know for sure.

I had some rectal bleeding with my last pg....and I really noticed it once when I had a lot of blood in the toilet....mine didn't really hurt unless I had a big BM or wiped...I got into my doc's office, and come to find out I had a fissure....it's a little tear in the skin or muscle or something down there in the folds. After my doc rooted around in my backside   the pain and bleeding went away....guess she tucked it away nicely...haahaa!
My midwife also thought I had some intestinal bleeding during my pg because I had "old blood" looking mucous...(gotta love the TMI) when I had a BM...but that looked different that the red blood!

I hope they find something out and that your little one is A-OK!!

Thank you all so much for your stories. Even though you know you're not the first person to go through this, you feel like it sometimes. And I know you women here have gone through some things and then some. So, it's so great to have the support of all of you and your wise words.

Thank you. I'll update you on the appt Friday.

I have no where else to ask this question, and since we are on the subject, I really need to ask this here.

I have never had a baby, but I sit a lot, and also went on a long motorcycle ride recently. I have a little hemorrhoid I think. It is white though, is that possible? Nothing hurts or feels weird, I am just scared to go #2. Sorry for all the TMI, but I seriously have no where else to ask, and I don't want to go to the doc and pay the co-pay if this is just silly. Will it go away? Has anyone looked at theirs and seen that it was white partially? The part that I can see, and that is white, is smaller than a pea.

I have had a little bit of hemhorroids. I never looked, too scary for me. I used the cream and wipes when necessary. I heard kegels are beneficial for making them not so bad, but I'm not sure if that's true or not. Seemed to work for me.

After all 3 babies, I took colace for a while. Especially since I am prone to anemia and had to take iron supplements.

hmm, eats lots of fiber and drink lots of water.

glad to hear that the baby is doing well. I think if I were you I'd make an appt to get those hemhorroids checked out even if the bleeding slows down.

(((hugs)))
