I'm almost 25 weeks prego and have been feeling baby kick regularly for at least the past month. Movements are pretty much always when I'm at rest. Usually, right when I sit down or lay down in bed the kicking starts within 30 seconds. It's pretty strong and never mistaken for anything else. Usually I can see the movement if I watch my belly.

However... All day yesterday and today I haven't felt much at all. Yesterday, nothing. Today, a tiny flutter but nothing like it's been. So light that I'm not convinced it was even it. Definitely not like usual.

I did everything they tell you to do... eat, drink oj then sit and wait. I had a couple sweet things today that normally would get baby going, and then sat and waited and nothing. (and laid down, different positions, and waited)

This is really concerning me. Anyone experience this?? Dh thinks I should call the dr. What would you do??

I know the baby is less active when we are busy and up and around all day. I have been the past couple days, but I always am. And the 2 seconds I sit and take a break, babe usually goes nuts. But not now....

Please... advice anyone????

Honestly, I would go straight to the ER to be monitored. It might be nothing but imo it is not worth taking a chance - sometimes my boys would have some decreased movement when they ran out of space and then I would expand and they would wiggle again but if you have only felt him move 1x in 2 days then he should be checked. I did that when I was pg with ds # 2 and praise God he was (is!) ok.

If you are not comfortable going to the ER then call and talk to your dr or the dr on call like right now. Praying! [prayer]

I think I would call your doctor, at least he can reassure you. It is normal for movement to become less as the baby grows, there, isn't as much room.:-D Or the baby may have shifted and is kicking and moving in a less obvious way. Go ahead and call, that's what the doctor is there for. I'm praying for you, since I know from experience that it can be really scary. Lots of love and preyers, Jennifer

I don't have experience but, having gamommy's post about her friend whose baby died inutero fresh on my mind makes me want to second your husband- it can't ever hurt to call the doc! I'm praying right now that you'd feel movement. -ren

If it were me I'd contact my midwife. I am usually against the "call the doc" at every little thing but if you've tried all the things to get baby moving and its been two days I would say it time to call your doc. Don't panic though.. your still pretty early, baby migfht just be less active the last couple days and you may have overlooked movement.
Praying for you and babe!

I agree with the other ladies I don't think you can ever be over concerned about your baby. I too would go to my ER or if you can get the hold of your OB, give them a call!
Will be praying for you [praying]

Will be praying and if you can please keep us posted.

I would go to the doc or ER. It's likely just that baby is having a couple of quiet days, but getting checked will do wonders for your peace of mind. Praying.

Ditto that.

And one other thing to try that I didn't see mentioned...
Push on your belly, try to move the babe around. Nudge a bit, see if that sparks any reflex. Just really give a good shove to one side if you have to. See what that does, in addition to the other tricks (oj, sweets, caffeine). Then, follow as the other ladies have said.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you all...

Thanks for the prayers! They worked! Last night my dh and I prayed for the babe and that we'd feel movement and God would give us peace. He did! I fell asleep and then woke up in the night feeling movement. Then again this morning. And today it seems to be back to normal. I've been feeling it on and off.

So, I'm not worried anymore. I don't know what the deal was but whatever it was God took care of. I feel like this has built my faith because I really did just rely on Him and kept expecting to feel something. I did plan to call my dr today if I felt nothing. But God came through as usual! He's so faithful.

Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers, ladies. It means so much to know I can come here and share my concerns. Love you all!

My ds was like that in utero- he'd have 2-3 really quiet days- to the point of starting to get concerned- then the next 2-3 days he'd party it up!

I'm glad all is well! Praise God!

Wonderful, hun!! My babe goes through those "quiet" times too, which is a first for me and it worried me like crazy! Now I've gotten used to this "quiet baby" and have been able to enjoy the pregnancy more because of that. :)
