Hehe, I was making the poll while you were posting. :D There it is. Just to clarify, the one that said I'm pregnant with my first, I'll let you know if I get pregnant should have ended with the phrase "while nursing." LOL. Guess I had to make some typos!

I think that between all my poll options I covered everyone! LOL.

Augh, I didn't make a specific choice for myself. LOL. I should have put a "currently nursing while pregnant and haven't weaned yet." Oh well, I had to forget something. I just picked other. LOL.

I put weaned @ 5-6 months. My MW told me to stop the, so I did. Otherwise I nurse for 2+ years or until they choose to stop or they bite all the time.

I picked 4-5 months because thats when I dried up when pg with G. I probably could have toughed it out and re-established my milk supply. I really wish I had! I have major guilt about how early I weaned Lawson. I feel like he got totally ripped off. I weaned G when she turned 1 and I was about 3 months pregnant.. I had started to dry out already and was really not enjoying nursing. I was dissapointed in myself again for weaning her so early but at least we made it to that 1 year mark and we held off on solids a lot longer too. Next go around I plan to soley breast feed for the first 9 months at least and then very slowly and gradually start solids and I hope to bf until at least 18 months like I did with Brooke. We all know how plans change though, so we will see!

I finished nursing ds around 14 months...so I wasn't nursing when I got pregnant with dd. I don't know how long I'll nurse her. I hope to at least for a year...maybe longer?

my milk dried up around 4-5 months into pregnancy. I wish it had not. Katherine was 12 months. After I got my milk back after nathaniel was born though I pumped for her for the first 4 months, so she had a couple cups of breastmilk everyday. Now she only gets breastmilk if she is sick because pumping is way too much work on a regular basis LOL

I think mine have stopped nursing around 3mo into the pg
They were in the process of weaning when I got pg, so that just contiued.

Brandon and Emme are 4 1/2 years apart so I have never been nursing and preggers at the same time before and unless I'm preggers now it doesn't look as if it'll happen this time either cause Brandon is loosing interest very quickly. We were at about 4 times in a 24 hour period now he's at about 2. That has been just over the last few days=(. I offer the breast but, he just doesn't want to stay on. . .it's ok- I'm alright as long as he keeps up with it in the middle of the night, making bottles when I'm groggy stinks. -ren

I picked other bec I didn't wean my oldest, he stopped on his own - he nursed regularly up until he was 2 yrs old but shortly after I found out I was pg with # 2 he lost interest - I would even ask him if he wanted to nurse and he was like "no, thanks!" It happened very quickly. I think your milk changes even if it does not dry up, but I guess everyone is different.

I put tandem nursed for 9 months because I nursed Emma 9 months after I gave birth to Noah, but as we know, Noah went to be with the Lord when he was two days old, so I didn't really tandem. I did nurse Emma all through Noah's pg and then kept nursing after my milk came back in. I also nursed her for 3 or 4 months through this pg, but finally weaned her at 30 months and 3-4 months pg. Just didn't want to nurse through another whole pg......I do miss it though, and DD askes to nurse or tries to pretend nurse every day. If I didn't think it be much harder to wean her again, I would totally start nursing her again.....

Blessings,
Amber
