Just curious... If you put your baby in a bassinet at what age did you move them to a crib?

We had our first DS in the bassinet in our room for 3 months, then in the portable crib in our room until he was 6 months then he transitioned to the crib......with our second DS, he was in the bassinet for about 1.5 months (he got too big for it very quickly), and now he is in the swing (I don't know what we are going to do when he is too big for it) because of reflux and breathing issues......he is now 6 months old (almost 7) and I still have to move him around to help him breathe, so I am not sure when he will get transitioned to a crib......every little one is different, and you have to do what you are comfortable with.....

I think our daughter was in the bassinet about 3 months- my twins only about a month, since they were sharing it.....:-D

I think you'll KNOW when it's time to move them to a crib....when their arms are flailing up against the sides of the bassinet, and they just seem crowded.

we moved DS out of his cosleeper and into his crib around 5 months. He is still in our room because we only have a one bedroom apartment, but I love that he is still close enough I can hear him breath and move.

I've never used either.

But, from what I hear, the 'average' is about 4-6 months. But like LL said, you'll know when to move them. When they just look too big and/or aren't sleeping well. :)

We only have one bedroom also. So, I only had dd in the bassinet for about 2 months and then put her in her crib. (which was also in our room) I did the switch early mainly just to make more room in our bedroom.
