You are right! I missed that back there. Hmmm...that one is wrong too. Well, I'm not the rule lady so I'll let everone else work it out and I'll pick back up in the morning. Maybe we should just start over or start back where it messed up. Don't give up...it's fun and can be a little addicting!

The object is to make a new word by replacing only one letter...not switching any.

Yes, the game ended from when the word went from fires to first.

So, per rocking baby's rules, Maria would have to start a new word.
