UUUMMMM, good chances? I would spend the money after you think AF should have come to save sanity and cash and get best results....crossin' my finers for ya! Maybe it was all the extra herbs you went a little overboard with in your smoothies this month! Haha...secret fertility kick benefits!

LOL! Yeah, DH said that we could try this month, so we'll see what happens next. :D FWIW, I'm 8 DPO today.

I would wait until the first day of your missed period with elevated temps.

I asked Hannah, "Does mommy have a baby in her tummy?" A few times she repeated the words "baby" and "tummy" and then then later when asked again, she said "no" a couple of times. (Of course, right now, no is one of her favorite words!) I sure hope that she's wrong! ;) I'll probably go with the 12 DPO option.

you know when people say "if you stop thinking about it it'll happen"- I don't usually agree with that but, unless this poll was a joke I'd say you might want to concider that thought=) Seriously, I'm a preggo tester myself but, it's an expensive obsession. If you're taking your temp just wait till you have 21 days of high temps and no period then you're likely to have a positive test when you do take it rather than a negative that lets you down but, you hang on to possibly false hope cause, "well, this one was negative but, it might not be negative if I try again in a few days". KWIM? Anyway, here's hoping it doesn't take too long for you. I know how discouraging it can be- Brandon was a 2 1/2 year wait for me=( -ren

This poll was 1/3 a joke, 1/3 something to get support and pass time while in the 2WW, and 1/3 to help me decide when to take a test. I had been keeping my 2WW quiet, instead of making a million posts about it, for that reason, to avoid obsessing too much about it.

If I waited until 21 DPO, I wouldn't need to take a test, as that is 99% a reliable indicator of pregnancy, per the Art of Natural Family Planning book. But really, preggo tests wouldn't be too expensive, as I already have 2 on hand and they were both from the Dollar Tree! :D

LOL, I didn't know about the 2WW with J. No clue. We weren't trying overly hard and one day I told dh I thought we should buy some tests. We bought 2 and only needed 1.

Then I had this extra test lying around so I threw it out because it expired! Then I bought another because I got my period at 6 months post partum and it wasn't regular and I got scared! I wasn't pregnant though!

With D and E, I did eventually buy tests, but I knew way before I used them. Dh just thought I should "know for sure". With D, I still didn't know about the 2WW but just knew I was late. With E, I had had a really bad bladder infection and had stopped charting. Then I started to think that my period was taking way longer than usual to come. So I started charting and seeing all these high temps and thinking... ohhhh! LOL. But I still just kept charting and doing the 2WW and didn't even tell Dh! LOL. One morning, I was complaining about how tired I was recently and he asked, are you pregnant or something. His jaw dropped when I said, well actually, I think I am! Look at these numbers! LOL. Still, I didn't test for about another week or so just because. No question what I would get though!

Do you have Taking Charge of Your Fertility? They have a pregnancy test in the book. Take a piece of paper and pee on it. If you have a baby in 9 months, you were pregnant when you peed on the paper! LOL

I know, I'm no help! But this is kind of fun!

Ruth, my response was a little harsh. I'm sorry. I should be much more compassionate cause I've totally been there infact I just took a test this morning though I'm not charting cause I can't get three consecutive, constitant hours of sleep a night with my little weirdo of a son who likes to get up at the CRACK OF DAWN. Anyway- I'm sorry for not being more supportive. -ren

That's okay, Ren. Just so you know, though, you don't have to get 3 consecutive hours of sleep to temp. Even with my toddler waking at night part of the time, my temp shifts are very clear.
