Saw this listed today among other little qualifying statements of wisdom, but I thought this one summed it up. And it is SO where I am right now! LOL. Anyone else with teens who can understand this:

1) Raising teenagers is like nailing Jell-O to a tree.

Hmmm...meaning that the jello won't stay on the tree even if you try to make it do so? Maybe I didn't immediately get it since I don't have teenagers! LOL.

I've seen that quote before and I think it's pretty true:

1-Jello is wiggly and hard to get ahold of.
2-Jello won't be "pinned down".
3-Jello retains it's shape horizontally, but doesn't do well vertically.
3-You have to keep experimenting with innovative ways to do it.
4-It can be done, but you have to have just the right ingredients.
5-Really, though, jello isn't meant to be nailed to a tree. It's meant to be enjoyed while it lasts. :-D
