They're growing outside now, and they're a fabulous nutritional bargain. Besides being free, they're very nutritious! At 464 mg of calcium per cup, they're off the charts nutritionally! Also, they have potassium and other things as well. I made a green smoothie with them. You can also eat them cooked.

So what are they Ruth? I have never hear of them? At first I thought you actually meant lamb, but then I rememberd you are vegan and you woldn't put lamb in a smoothie............yuk!!!

LOL on the lamb. Nope, wouldn't use lamb. I've had lamb one time in my life and I can't say that it's a professed favorite of mine, hehe.
It's actually a wild edible plant that you can find outdoors in the summertime. I found a whole bunch growing in my garden.
