Just got back from my appointment. The doc upped my clomid to 3 pills for 5 days and today he said I have 2 nice eggs growing! He wants them to get a little bigger so I won't take the med to make me ovulate until saturday. The doc wanted to do IUI again but I really don't want to so we will do it the old fashioned way ; )
I talked to the nurse about our options if it doesn't happen this cycle and she said.. This is my last cycle with clomid. If we do anything else there is some other med I haven't heard of and she said the medicine alone costs between 200 - 400 dollars!! I don't want to go broke trying to get pregnant, so I think this is our last cycle trying :( None of the meds or treatment is covered by insurance and since he is a specialist it is $60 copay everytime I see him. Never thought getting pregnant would be this complicated and expensive! Please be praying for us this month, thanks!

I'm sorry it's been such a long road. I don't know what meds your doc was talking about, but I know there is another med, kind of like clomid, that has a better success rate, and less side effects. You could also look into starting Vitex, it's kind of like a natural clomid. Some women have bad reactions to it, I being one, but most women really like how it regulates their hormones. I have read many good success stories using Vitex (also can be called chaste berry.)

TMI warning...........

This is kind of crazy, but I wanted to mention to you that I truly believe that the position Dh and I were in when we bd made a big difference with our conception. I know it was the Lord who blessed us with our Makelah, but I also know that our bodies are functional, and sometimes one way is better than another. KWIM? I have a really tilted cervic, points waaaaay back and Dh and I had been bding "the old fashion position," meaning, him on top. We haven't been able to do that much because of his back issues, but because he was feeling better...well you know! Anyways, we had most been able to BD with him behind me, and so I started thinking about it, and realized that that's how we were doing it when I got pg the last few times. We had done 3 round of clomid already, using the standard position, so I talked to Dh about my theory and we decided to try Bding with him behind. Now I am pg with Makelah. Not saying it's the cure all, but maybe it's worth looking into different ways. I also started the vaginal suppositories two days after my surge and continued until I wa 12 weeks pg. I think that had a lot to do with it.
Boy, it is pretty complicated for some of us to get pg huh?

I hope you get your BFP this month and won't have to even think about what to do next! It was so comforting to me to know that the Lord had a perfect plan for my life, and He knew When and if I would ever get pg. Such a blessing to have His promises. I hope you can find comfort in them also!

I looked into Vitex and I think we will use that if things don't work out this time around. Also, while searching found another called Propolis, does anybody know anything about that one? Thanks!
