Hi :) No she doesn't want to come out LOL And last night I was in a real bad mood and took it out on Paul... poor man :( I have my appointment with the Specialist today and will find out what day they will induce me. It better be Friday I tell ya. I can't wait until Sunday or Monday. If they do it on Monday I'd be 42 weeks 1 day. I just want this baby out! LOL

Thanks for praying for me. I really appreciate everyones prayers. :)

I'll KUP.

Well I hope its this wk... I heard after 40 wks that the placenta starts to not work as well. and some babies can actually lose weight. I can't believe how long they make you wait. I would totally be in a bad mood..lol

Yeah it's not good to let bub cook for too long, I am sure Renee, they will have her out in a jiffy for you :D .

Paul can't really blame you for being in a  mood!

Keep praying for you girlfriend!

Oh :? I'm going to go and weigh myself now ...
Just 2 days ago I was feeling tons of movement and over the last 2 days she's just not moving as much. I prayed to God last night that I'd feel some movement to ease my mind and she did move. Perhaps she's just running out of room...
And my midwife checked my BP on Friday and it was 130/85 and she didn't seem to be worried because it's been high before... :?

I hope baby is ok :(

Thanks everyone. :)

When Abby was born she was a little overcooked... just a bit of dry skin on her hands etc... but not that much. So I'm guessing she wasn't really 2 weeks overdue. Probably just a few days...
I'm sure Sophie is ok. And I know it's better for her to be late than early I guess...

Ok now I'm a little worried....
I just went and weighed myself and I'm 95kgs. That is what I was around 24 or 25 weeks. I don't know if I gained any weight since then (but I'm guessing of course I would have) because I haven't weighed myself since then. So over the last 17 weeks I have either not gained any weight or I've lost weight at some stage...

I'll definitely be asking the Specialist about this tonight.
When I was 40 weeks pregnant with Abby I weighed 101kgs. And I'm nearly 42 weeks pregnant now and only weigh 95kgs.

I don't know whether to be happy or scared.

Renee I wouldn't worry honestly. The same thing happened to me at my second last weigh in, I had lost weight, however I was still eating the same amount of food, so I guess the baby and my body were just using more calories. My obstetrician certainly wasn't worried at all.

Last time I was weighed I hadn't gained or lost anything.

Mention totally though, it probably would put your mind at ease.

Hello! :D I am going to be induced on Friday night at 7pm :D
As you can see I'm happy LOL The Specialist said he could do a membrane sweep and I told him no thanks LOL I am not good with internal procedures.. I just tense up so much it is so uncomfortable. And I can imagine that would mean it would hurt if I can't relax. And there is no guarantee it would even work...
So they will use the prostaglandin gel like last time.

I got to see Sophie on the ultrasound and she has enough amniotic fluid left and the placenta is healthy. And I could see her breathing :D She's a lot bigger now than she was when I had my u/s at 20 weeks. And I mentioned the no weight gain to the Specialist and he didn't seem concerned. But she has definitely grown since 20 weeks.

Yeah!

Friday isn't too far away now. I am so glad for you.

You said they will induce you at night? Why at night? Around here, if they schedule an inducement, it is way EARLY in the morning (like they tell you to show up at six a.m. to do it at seven. BLECH)

Now you can start filling out the birth announcements so that will be one less chore to do later! :D

Yeah I've noticed that... no for some reason they do it at night here. I was induced with Abby at 7pm also.

We never bothered with birth announcements last time. We put a notice in the newspaper and that was it. And it just spread by word of mouth from family and friends.

I'm glad to hear it, Renee. My mw told me at my last appt. that she doesn't let any of her clients go over 42 wks.

I'll remember you Thursday US time (it'll be Friday or close to it over in your neck of the woods) in my prayers.

Thanks to the person (can't remember just now) that remarked about not gaining weight at the end of preg. I'm eating the same I was b4, and my belly's getting bigger, but I don't seem to be gaining. Was worried, but feel better about it now. :)

My induction is 7pm Friday night here in NZ... which makes it midnight Thursday for you ;)

Yeah I feel better about that now too. I think Sophie has just been getting her fat [rofl] from me. I'm sure I would have gained weight but baby is just using it. Which is good! I was 101kgs at 40 weeks with Abby and I'm only 95kgs now. Less weight for me to lose :D

Yes, the weight gain doesn't necessarily tell you anything important - this is why a lot of midwives don't pay any attention to it at all (because all women are so different). I am not gaining very much weight (not even 6kg so far with less than 8 weeks to go - and no gain in the last 2 weeks). However, I'm not worried because this is similar to my last pregnancy (and my first was a good size at birth) and my midwife says baby is growing well.

I will be praying for you Renee.

Yeah on the internet it says that they used to weigh women at every appointment but they don't do it anymore because it doesn't really tell them anything and all women are different and they have to take into consideration your BMI before pregnancy. Mine was just over 30 I think... and I've gained 12kgs which is around 24lbs I think which is a good gain for pregnancy. On the net it says 24.2lbs is normal. Last time I gained twice as much
