Ashlee 05-14-2008, 03:06 PM I don't have a "recipe" but I do remember that watering down dishsoap works good. Not dishwasher detergent but actual dish soap for your sink type thing. Thats all I've got though.. sorry. irishmum2boys 05-14-2008, 03:19 PM It seems like when my mil makes it she uses Dawn dish soap and she also adds glycerine, but I have no idea about the quantities? I found this, maybe it will help ? http://crafts.kaboose.com/homemade-bubbles.html PianoMama 05-14-2008, 04:07 PM I found a few recipes with Karo/corn syrup. Anyone tried using this instead of glycerin? His butterfly 05-14-2008, 05:04 PM Got one from A's preschool class- 2 c. Joy ( Has to be Joy detergerent) 6 c water 3/4 c sugar Combine all ingredients, shaking solution to blend well. Let settle I also have a Sidewalk chalk recipe and a Fingerpaint soap recipe if anyone wants me to post it. A's school is always sending home recipes for fun stuff. catringa 05-14-2008, 05:09 PM oh i am curious too! where does one get glycerin? (well..at least in Central America? ha!) Not sure though! Sorry Catringa as far as shopping for it in Central America I can't help you out there! His butterfly 05-15-2008, 11:03 AM Yes. Powdered detergent. Went ahead and edited it above so as not to confuse anyone. Godzgirl 05-15-2008, 01:31 PM Thanks Sarah! :-D I'll probably be trying the fingerpaintsoap this weekend. Do you know if it's washable if you get stained? His butterfly 05-16-2008, 07:19 PM You know I really don't know since my girls wear a paint smock whenever they use anything with ink or paint. I know that food coloring will but with it mixed with soap it may offset the staining properties. |
