Ok, did or does anyone get EWCM often? Last month I even spotted but isn't it kind of early for me to have this happening? DS is only 4 1/2 months old and I breastfeed exclusively???

Exclusive breastfeeding means only breastmilk 100% of the time. It means no formula, juice, cereal, water or anything else but breastmilk. I remember on another thread that you said that Israel was taking some cereal, is that correct? Because often after babies start solids, the mom's period comes back. If you occasionally supplement with formula, that can encourage fertility to return as well. Does Israel take a paci? That can also make a difference.

But you and your DH were wanting another one soon, right? So hopefully this means good vibes for conceiving in the near future! :)

Oh, I just had to add, I did not get significant EWCM until closer to the time of returning fertility. I had about 3-4 days of full blown EWCM after a pattern of continuing wetness. I ovulated at that time (19 months postpartum) and my period followed about 11 days later.

just FYI, not everyone who breastfeeds has a delayed period. I know of ladies who breastfed only, and they had their AFs back at 6 weeks. There are those who don't get AF back until they stop breastfeeding completly, and then there are those like me who get it back half way in between.
I don't remember if I got any EWCM before AF came, usually you O before PPAF comes, so it could be why you are getting some. Hormones are all over the place after you have a baby, so your CM could change a lot.

Blessings,
Amber

That's true, Amber. Because not only breastfeeding affects it. Other facts like body weight and body hormone balance, estrogen dominance, and thyroid imbalance can definitely play a big part too.

I didn't breastfeed and haven't gotten my ppaf yet. I have had EWCM this week, I wonder if AF is on her way!

I did not continue with the cereal, but on occasion he has formula and definitely has to have his paci! So maybe that's why. Well that would be good if fertility is on its way back so we can start trying again. Husband really wants to try again NOW...more than I do. I need to pray more about wanting another baby. I know I would love my baby if it happened... but I just wish I was as excited about it as DH is...I feel bad plus I feel like I will be depriving my DS of more attention during his infancy if we were to have another right now... but I know I don't have much time since I'll be 38 in October. Well, the odds are stacked against me anyway ....I'm sure the Lord will work it out.

Yay! I know that it's QUITE normal to be nervous about TTC, especially with as little as your DS is. I'm sure that God will work everything out. I look forward to following your journey!
