Hey girls! Anyone have any ideas or tips for travelling with a 2 year old and a 9 month old? We have to leave at noon, so driving through the night isn't an option. We're going to Florida, about a 14 hour drive. Thanks !

I am not sure if you have a DVD player or how you feel about those, but we took ours and it was great as my oldest gets car sick! I would keep clothes close on hand incase of changes :) Little snacks that they enjoy in ziploc bags. For the younger dd, those little soft books are great. Do you have music tapes/C.D's, stories on CD or cassette? Their fav. blanket. Making stops when the kids are awake and just letting them run for a while also helps if you can find a nice park along the way! I hope this helps a little and I pray you have a very safe and fun trip with your family. Let us know how it goes :) Madre 09-18-2006, 03:17 PM How was the trip, Kerina? :D Kerina 09-18-2006, 11:24 PM The trip went fine. We did end up leaving late, so the girls slept well on the way down. It occured to me that we can watch DVDs on our laptop, so we set that up when my 2 year old was getting restless. Her favorite Bible song tape was great too. She loves to sing. Thanks for the tips. The DVD helped me from feeling sick as well. :) irishmum2boys 09-19-2006, 12:34 PM Oh good, thanks for the update. I had been wondering too how things went :) Glad your back home safely! |
