I met the specialist obstetrician today who is going to be doing my caesarian and he is VERY nice and listened to everything I had to say and didn't have an arrogent bone in his body (which I was kind of concerned about being a specialist and all).
I am booked in on the 25th of Sept, so if I don't go into labour before then that is Matilda's birthday.
Apparently they are quite mindful of patients wants/needs there (like most of Australian hospitals) so I actually have the anethatists mobile number to meet her and be able to make my requests known - (such as I do not want to be on an epidural all night, that is so OTT, it really doesn't hurt THAT much, it's more of a tight/stiff feeling than pain)
I basically told the obstetrician I want to be up and out of bed the next morning. Last time they made me lay in bed until 10am and I was sooooooo swallowing razors to get up.
YAY... that has taken one of my main concerns away (what kind of person would be delivering the baby).
