When do you move up to the faster flowing nipples? We are needing to buy new bottles and I'm not sure if we should get the same flow or the next size up. When did you get the faster flow?

I read you could once they are 3-4 months. But if you are nursing at all, I would wait longer. I give DS a bottle once in a while and I notice that he likes to have the fast flow of the bottle rather than having to work at sucking during nursing. Now if he sees the bottle he gets very excited. So, I try and not give him a bottle as little as possible.

Thanks! I think we will get the faster flow nipples. Unfortunately I am not breastfeeding but I can see where that would be an issue! :-D

I used platex ventaire. The package said that the fast nipples were for 3 months and up, but my ds would not take a bottle with the fast nipple until about 7 months. It was too fast and he would get frustrated trying to swallow so fast. I just kept using the slow ones, and about once a month tried a faster one. Finally he took it without a problem. I would try the fast nipples, but you may end up going back. Although it could be my ds is just a little lazy ;) , and you will have no problems.
