He was nursing and then he spit up. There was regular spit up along with some green spit up. He had a crying fit earlier today (which I think was gas) and then slept for 1 1/2 hours. He seems happy and fine...smiling and laughing with DH... but of course I am concerned. Any ideas? His temp is normal??

Hope all is better...have you called the ped? They always ask about green or yellow mucus.

My LO did spit up a bit of green at one point too. DH read that it is from food that has already reached the stomach and is spit back up. Pretty much as long as it's not excessive and he's not showing other symptoms, he's fine! :)
We also read that if he does have other symptoms or excessive green spit up that it could be a blockage in the intestines.

It's sounds like it could be stomache bile, or acid. He might have acid reflux. Either way I would call the pedi and ask them about it.

My youngest daughter had really bad GERD (form of acid reflux) when she was really little. You may try keeping ds in an upright position for at least 30 min after eating and see if that helps. If it does then it probably is acid reflux. Either way you might check with your Ped and see what he/she says.Hope that helps.

Sorry...it's been a while since I've been online. DS is fine. Doc wasn't concerned since it was an isolated incident. Thanks...it was pro acid reflux.
