I know this must be pregnancy related... I want every nook and cranny and closet and cupboard cleaned and organised... this is not typical me behaviour... we have one problem- basement is empty of items because in process of renovating. That means we have stuff everywhere... I just want to pitch it all on the curb and ask the nice garbage man to take it away. DH has ripped the truck rental pages from phone book as a rental truck would serve intended purpose.

anyways... this too shall pass.

LOL...Yes, this is classic nesting! Been there, done that and it's already started this time and I'm only 6 months along! My house will be so organized by the time this kiddo arrives! Resist the rental trucks!

Yeah, that sounds very typical! I finally tackled some of my dreaded projects in the last weeks of pregnancy such as cleaning "THE ROOM." (AKA the place that was a catchall for every piece of junk acquired while married and in the last 10 years before marriage. LOL)

Also, I finally finished writing my thank you cards for my wedding gifts! I knew that with getting baby gifts, I wouldn't have time to finish my wedding thank you's then so I finally bit the bullet and wrote them.

Then as I got close to my due date I tried to make sure that my house was clean and my laundry was done at all times. I actually started labor at a time when it wasn't perfectly clean, but before things got too intense my hubby and I straightened it up between contractions. [rofl]

The "nesting" thing hasn't hit me full force yet, but I have found myself looking at cluttered corners, feeling a twinge of dissatisfaction, and starting to sort and toss out.

If I start cleaning out kitchen cupboards, I'll KNOW it's a pregnancy thing.

Oh yes... never experienced nesting last time but it hit me this time at about 36 weeks. I do dishes 2-3 times a day and vacuum 3-6 times a day LMBO and the washing is always up to date. And the bed is always made. And I don't have a pile of clean laundry waiting to be folded LOL

I have a two page long list on my fridge of stuff that I have found that I think needs to be done. I have quite a bit crossed off. Then, the other day, when I wa feeling horrible for over doing it the day before, I decided that my windows needed washing. That is a job I HATE doing. So far, I've resisted the urge. I still have a few million things to do, and my due date is three weeks from today. But, she hasn't dropped yet, so I am starting to think I will be pregnant forever. If that's the case, then what's the hurry?

Oh yeah I think that it is totally normal  I have a friend who even took the socket coverings off and cleaned them and put them back on again! Now only a pregnant woman would do that

I seem to have a major nesting frenzy now (with 8 weeks to go until my due date). It is really good timing for me because it is Spring - perfect for the traditional 'Spring Clean'. I must admit that the house really needs it after a very damp winter. I am having to pace myself (tackling a room at a time). Not that my suddenly very active 2 year old boy will let me get on with much housework when he is awake.
