I'm so excited for you hun!!! PianoMama 04-18-2008, 08:33 PM contractions hurt for like 45 secs, but my tummy is hard for long than that...how do I time how long they are lasting?? JRBL 04-18-2008, 08:49 PM I believe you time from the moment you feel your stomach tighten up, painful or not, to when you feel your tummy go soft... JRBL 04-18-2008, 08:50 PM Found this on a website... To determine how far apart the contractions are you begin timing at the start of a contraction, and end timing at the beginning of the next contraction. To determine how long a contraction is, you begin timing at the beginning of a contraction, and end at the end of the same contraction. Here's the website link so you can check out their example... http://www.birthingnaturally.net/birth/progress/contraction.html JeanineAnne 04-18-2008, 10:16 PM oh this is too exciting!!!!
