I thought I read somewhere about how much the baby grows the last few months or maybe it was just the last month .. Was it something like an oz a day the last month or 2 lbs every month the last 3 months?? Does anyone know???

I just read that it's about a 1/2 lb every week the last 3 months.

I'm not sure, but I know I gained most of my weight the last trimester. I even outgrew my maternity clothes both times!!

This is what I was told when I was pregnant with Preston. I also read that several times. Thank God they induced me a couple weeks early with Preston. He weighed 10 pounds and was 12 days early. He would've weighed more than 11 pounds!! Yikes!!

I read that it's 1/2 a pound a week in the last 4 weeks. 3 months? We'd be delivering elephants if they gained that much weight over the last 3 months... :? That would be around 6 lbs in the last 3 months

Don't they only weigh about 1.5-2 lbs going into the last 3 months? If I'm wrong on that - the article could have said the last 2 months then. I figured if the 1/2 lb is approx, then the baby would be around 7-8lbs.

Yes that's right. It just seemed like a lot to me...

WOW! I don't know whether to feel sorry for you or happy for little miss Sophie. Lord knows she's comfy cosy in there. I hope Abby isn't jumping up and down on you like Bri's doing me now. Not sure what his motive or even goal is, but it hurts.

since we're talking weight gain here, thought I'd throw this in: I'm not sure what patrick is doing, but I'm not gaining any weight. I'm actually losing. I've went from 194 to abou 186 in the past three weeks. maybe I've lost more than that, but patrick is taking it up? I dunno.

Renee you need to make a deal with that baby--bribe her or something just to get her out! Bribery works with my kids! I know, girls like to shop, just bribe her by telling her you'll take her on a shopping spree and to get her nails done. That'll work [rofl] Stephanie :D

LOL Well I don't really mind going overdue... it's depressing because I'm so excited to meet Sophie KWIM? But I'd rather she stay in longer if she isn't ready to come out yet. She can add some more fat to her bones and finish developing properly if she already hasn't ... because I doubt my due date was actually the 27th August since they work it out from the first day of your last period... when you are not pregnant LOL
Abby has been pretty good lately. She sometimes elbows my tummy when she is climbing up on me but she hasn't kicked my tummy or jumped on me. I always watch what she is doing when she is sitting in front of me because she has a habit of just falling back ... shes whacked me in the nose with her head a couple of times... and it hurts! So I usually put my arm behind her back now.

Have you asked your doctor about it? It could be that baby has stopped growing. That sometimes happens. They can do an US and see if the placenta is still ok etc...
I hope everything is ok. I think I read in the last week that you can lose a little weight but you are only 36 weeks now.
Are you seeing your doctor every week now?

[rofl] I'll think of something to bribe her with... I do want to go and buy her a cute lil outfit when she is born. I'm kinda disappointed in my favourite kids clothing company at the moment because their Spring/Summer collection for babys isn't very exciting... :(

I'm still going eveery two weeks. The doc knows about the weight, not concerned. I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow. so if i go now, I'm in the clear, they won't stop me. Hmmm, what can I do to get this started, LOL>

LOL I think I lost a tiny bit of my mucus plug last night... but I have no idea.
I've been drinking red raspberry leaf tea for the last 10 days.

Nothing seems to be working though...

Aelena I read the same thing 1/2 lb every week.

I think that means by birth my little bub will be about 7lb if the ultrasound technicians measurements were correct.

Renee - eat it LOL???? Maybe you should make a loop recording of the message and put some headphones over your belly???
