Great article! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it! I cringe every time I see one of those Darwin fishes; I don't have a Christian fish on my car, but I do have a bumper sticker that reads GOD IS REAL. :-D

It's not that secular progressives support Muslim religious fanatics, but they reserve their passion and scorn for religious Christians who are neither fanatical nor inclined to use violence.

The Darwin fish ostensibly symbolizes the superiority of progressive-minded science over backward-looking faith. I think this is a false juxtaposition, but I would have a lot more respect for the folks who believe it if they aimed their brave contempt for religion at those who might behead them for it.

wow. I have found it rather offensive for nonbelievers to take something they know little about and make a mockery of it and really he hit the nail on the head in more ways than one. It makes me chuckle a bit actually. They think they know it all, and are so confident in that knowledge. What a rude awakening there will be one day.

You know, I just find the whole "darwin" fish thing amusing, because it just proves the ignorance of whomever came up with the idea.

Especially considering that there are fish living right now that have bony protrusions from their fins that have muscle and bone in the fin...kind of like legs. They're called Coelacanth and you can find more info on www.dinofish .com (I seperated the link there, because I can't vouch for it, its new to me, but came up on google) But these fish aren't a missing link, because they're alive today and apparently doing well. There's one preserved at the Smithsonian, and there are plenty of other instances where they've been captured in recent years or photographed under water. It's just a different fish, lol. Certainly not a missing link, lol.

And then there's the snakehead fish...this pic shows a remarkeable resemblence to the "darwin" fish: http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/resourcecenter/teams/environment/eq_6_13.jpg

Anyway, I just find it amusing that those folks tried to make a mockery out of the sign we Christians have historically used to identify us, by adding legs to the fish, when in fact there are fish that appear to have legs. It's a fact, it's not like we Christians are trying to say its not. There are fish that appear to have legs, so what! It's still a fish, and honestly, whenever I see the "darwin" fish, I think of the Jesus fish anyway, so its not like they're actually winning, they're doing the opposite.

What a great article. The whole theory of evolution is not only ridiculous and cannot be proven but it encourages so much hatred for others. So sad.
How can anyone look around and not see the intricacies and wonders of this planet and not believe in a loving caring God.
