DS is only 16 months but I completely forget what I need to do to get ready for another little one. What kinds of things did you do to prepare to bring your baby home? I have a few outfits washed and hung and I have onesies but that's about it. Oooo I have such bad pregnancy brain. Someone, please, write a list for me:)

diapers, diapers, diapers!
wipes
diaper pail
diaper rash ointment
clothes for baby
place for baby to sleep
nursing bras, nursing pads, lanolin (if you plan on BFing)
breast pump?
carseat
baby book for foot/hand prints if desired
pads for you...

i'm sure there is more, that's all i can think of right now...

let's see....
mom
milk (see above)
a half dozen t-shirts and gowns (I like the gowns much better than the sleepers)
a few pair of socks
diapers
a sling
a car seat

and I'd call it good :)

We always made up a list of directions to the market, hospital, pediatrician, etc....for those who might help with the older sibling or family who comes around to help you...also a list of major friend/family phone numbers as well as ours, so calls can be made by others if needed....kept it on the fridge before birth and about a month after.

We also posted bottle making and heating instructions on the fridge...but we had formula.

I lived in knit pants (changing body and comfy and people always around, but didn't want to have to put on jeans or be caught in PJ's when they showed up!) and a few nice T-shirt/knit tops.....

Frozen meals in freezer easy to pull out for dinners

Sleepers/onsies and socks and baby hats....washed blankets and swaddlers....spit up clothes washed....bottles/pacifiers sterilized if needed.....

Unless you're planning a home birth, get someone lined up to take care of your toddler when you go off to the hospital.....someone who can come in the middle of the night or a work day if need be.

If you're planning on a trip to the hospital, besides the usual stuff, pack:

lip balm
moisturizer
pad of paper and a pen
bottled water, unless you want tap water at the hospital
Slippers/Robe
Fragrance free soaps/shampoos/etc. (don't want to overwhelm your newborn, lol)
Any kind of laboring device you might find necessary to get through it
Address book
Camera/batteries
Baby book or scrapbooking paper to put feet print on
Infant carseat all cleaned up and installed
Pantry stocked with quick meals (spaghetti, soups, nutrition bars, etc.)
If so inclined, stock the freezer with homemade meals that freeze well (soups, chili, marinara, lasagne, etc.)
Lanolin if you're Bfing
Cushy, non-skid socks
