I tried potty training Emma several months ago and when we had 5 accidents within and hour I realized she was not ready. Well she has been wearing panties during the day for the past week and has maybe had 3 accidents.....YEA EMMA!!!!!!!!!! Well she did not want to poop in the potty....I thought ok here is my challenge . Well tonite she got that look and all you mommies know what look I am talking about.....so I took her to the potty and she sat for 30 mins and finally pooped Whhheeeeeewwww whoooooo She was so happy and we did the happy dance. Huge moment in our household. I am not kidding having a big sister has really helped in the potty training dept with Emma...

Awesome! How old is Emma? We have sort of informally started potty training Jonethan. He sits on the potty when he feels like it and sometimes wears pull-ups but we don't make a big fuss over it unless he goes of course. ;) It took forever to train Gracie so we are taking it easy...a boy is a whole different department! LOL We are just trying to be encouraging.
Congrats to Emma! What a big girl!! :-D

Emma turned 3 Nov 2. She has really gotten the hang of it quicker than I thought. I shouldn't underestimate my kiddos...lol. I tried before and yea she was not ready at all but this time was definately a hit with her and she gets so excited......lol Good luck with the little guy. My sis has boys and her boys were easy, I have heard mixed responses as far as boys and girls and which is easier.....but it is so nice when you can save the expense of diapers....

WAY TO GO EMMA !! we have struggled here with the pooping on the potty(Graycie didn't want to use the potty or the toilet, and didn't want to go in her pants) so she was holding it, and wouldn't go for days. we are now mixing mineral oil in her oj in the morning and she is going every 2nd day, all by herself. hopefully in about 10 days we can start to wean her off. as for boys being easier than girls, i really think that it totally depends on the child, and if you start before the child is ready.

Woohoo!
As far as boys vs girls ... mine have been rather mixed. I've had a boy who took off and did it all on his own before age 2. And I've had another where I missed that earlier 'window' and he was then a bit more difficult around 3. The girl was iffy until we switched potties. And now Boo just turned 2 and has very few accidents. He's now at the...'eh, I got this pottying thing figured out...I'm busy playing now..I'm not stoppin' to pee...........................oops' stage :p

Another huge mile stone in potty training.....Emma slept through the night for the first time last night in panties......and stayed DRY.....YEAAAAAAA we are so excited and she has done so good that we are giving some of our friends with a little one any diapers that we may still have......
