You may all already have this bookmarked - you all seem so on-the-ball about these things. [clapping] But in case you're a late arriver on the scene, lol, here's a decent website for movie reviews from a Christian perspective (it's a website of focus-on-the-family). I take a look here before I go to any movie now (after making the mistake last Christmas allowing my visiting MIL to take the kids to the Chipmunk movie - I reviewed after they went and was so sorry I had allowed her to take them to that movie.)
Anyway, I like how the reviews are organized on here: Summary of movie, positive elements, spiritual content, sexual/violent/drug/language content, other negative elements, and the author's conclusion. There's always enough information for me to make my own decision as a parent.

I agree this is an awesome website! We always check it out before we go to the movies. Which isn't often unfortunately since movies nowadays are so bad.:???:

Thanks for another movie website. I visit www.crosswalk.com as well as www.christiananswers.net. What I like about christian answers is the reviews by people who have seen the movie. The posts are rated positive, neutral and negative.

Yeah I'm curious about what is wrong with the Alvin and the Chipmunks. We watched it for the first time this weekend and like all movies I reviewed it before letting the girls watch it. It had one song that I wasn't too thrilled with but other than that I didn't see anything wrong with it.

The only prob I had with it really was the part where Alvin says kiss my furry cheeks as Sinead keeps saying it over and over. I do not tend to ban Sinead from movies as they are fiction and I make her aware of that.

That site does tell you everything thats wrong with movies, and a lot of time makes the G or PG ones sound much worse then they actually look. I think it's because we're so used to seeing that junk in movies that it seems normal, until you just read it out for what it is.

Yea dh and I took our girls to see the movie and also the girls had saved their money and bought it. We thought it was hillarious. There were some scenes that had adult humor but my girls were so into talking chipmunks and plus they dont get that......we have watched it several times......now movies like the Golden Compass yea that is a movie that will never be seen by any of us in our home.
